- build.ros2.org will use [this branch](https://github.com/ros-infrastructure/ros_buildfarm/pull/548) of `ros_buildfarm`

#### ROS 1

- `catkin` has been [updated](https://github.com/ros/catkin/pull/940) to avoid writting the same file concurrently in workspaces which use a merged install space.
- The changes to the `ros_buildfarm` used to provide devel / PR jobs for ROS 2 should be applicable to ROS 1 as-is but will need further testing.

### Outlook

- Since `colcon` can be used to build ROS 1 early adopters can try to use it to build ROS 1 from source.
