Computer Vision based Android App for Visually Impaired People

  • Developed an Android application prototype using Kotlin and machine learning to aid visually impaired users.
  • The app features object detection capability, optical character recognition, barcode and QR code scanning, Indian currency detection using mobile phone camera.

Human Identification at a Distance using Gait Recognition

  • An ongoing research project as a part of the research internship program at Cyber Physical Systems Laboratory.
  • The objective was to develop a machine learning model using walking pattern of humans, taking images/videos from surveillance camera as source of data.
