Unlike resources describing the Latin-based Fula sounds, those describing the Adlam orthography generally list <span class="ipa">ɛ ɔ</span> as standard vowels with <span class="ipa">e o</span> as allophones. And in fact Adlam spells the sounds differently (see the <a href="../adlam/#mapv_hmid2">Adlam notes</a>).</p>
