As versioneer approach was causing a lot of issues, we've decided to move back to easier versioning system used in pymc-marketing.

Changes introduced in this PR:

  • Removed files associated with versioneer approach.
  • Added version.py and version.txt in the project root
  • Adapted setup.py to use version from version.py
