While modifying Harfbuzz's gobject annotation to get a more python-natural API, I found g-ir-doc-tool a bit lacking (
https://gitlab.gnome.org/GNOME/gobject-introspection/issues/235 ) - the somewhat older online pgi-docgen generated Harfbuzz doc seems more correct, but I had a couple of problems getting pgi-docgen to run. I think some of the scripts have debian centric assumptions. And I am on fedora. I managed to do so in the end.
This is a place holder to remind myself to tidy up the notes and hackeries and put a pull through.
No action needed on your part. Oh, and thanks for the work.
