Overview

Speedtest is a very simple program designed for osu!standard players, which aims to test how well a player can hit streams in game. It is inspired by several similar and related programs, like keyoverlay (there are so many!) and some other speedtests (手速测试 etc.).

0.1.0 Release

How to Use?

All you need is to hit the bound keys as FAST and STEADY as possible. Speedtest will tell you the current KPS (Keys Per Second), current BPM (in an "osu!" way) and more.

At any time you can click the Reset button to clear recorded maximum values.

To change key bindings, click on the keycap icons (where the Z and X are) then hit another key. Mouse buttons are also supported.

Special Keys

These keys can not be bound:

  • ESC : exit program immediately
  • Windows Key: key for start menu
  • F12 : take a screenshot and save in the working directory (a feature brought by raylib)
  • CTRL + F12 : start to record a gif. Press again to stop recording and save. (a feature brought by raylib)
  • CapsLock : nothing special. Just a technical problem... (See #13 )

FAQ

What is "an osu! way" in calculating BPM?

If you hit a key every 0.25s (average of 4 hits in 1 second), you get a BPM of 60.

Any new features?

Sure! There's a todo list in #4 , also any new issue for enhancement/bug is always welcome! Feel free to open a new issue!
