I managed to dedupe preact (can confirm with a Network tab), but it still fails with the same error 🤔
Also unfortunately Vitest doesn't process source maps for bundled dependencies correctly at the moment. This should be fixed in the next Vitest version though! vitest-dev/vitest#7534
