Recent "SFX for kiai/star" addition is horribly distracting

In the lazer changelog "Add SFX for kiai/star fountain activation (osu#32162)by nekodex"
I had to deep dive the update logs to ensure that there wasn't a problem with my game; I absolutely love nekodex and his contributions to the game, but as a player, this new sfx is horribly distracting. I thought my audio was cracking and my interface broke before realizing it was osu. I think someone has brought up the same problem in another discussion, but they didn't point out (or otherwise know) exactly what it was. It's definitely this new firework-esque sound effect for kiai. This either needs to be changed, or otherwise decreased greatly in volume

Upon further problem solving, disabling "star fountains" in the settings menu seems to remove the SFX, but that doesn't take away from my main point, ESPECIALLY if this is a setting that is globally enabled by default. I can't imagine even 5% of people would keep the setting enabled with this SFX.
