Add the "Exit" button to the main menu for mobile

While this suggestion is similar to #16546, this one aims to add the exit button back on the home screen.
The button would first prompt you to confirm (to prevent missclicks) and then would play the "SEE YOU NEXT TIME" animation like on PC, followed by the user being brought to the phone menu.
Since you can't close apps on mobile, the game would just close every task instead, just like how it works on osu!droid: https://youtu.be/5QUH1ASj7F8

Shouldn't the standard be that you actually have a way out of an app ?!
Isn't that like saying games in general shouldn't have a way to quit to whatever console/pc they are being played on ?!

I think that the developers are referring to the iOS HIG, but these are just guidelines. They are not requirements.

osu!'s menu screen is very small, it's not like adding an extra button will clutter the menu.

And the "see you next time" message is legendary. Excluding it due to a guideline is stupid.

Also, these guidelines do not exist on Android.

It doesn't make any sense to me why that would be a bad thing.
Then again I know close to nothing about apps/operating systems, so maybe they actually have a good reason ?
Would be interesting to hear why.

If you've used a phone, you will understand that there is a common method to background apps. There is not a single app I can name which implements an exit button. This would actually be anti-user, since the app will need to reload from zero rather than from a suspended state.

This is not something we are willing to entertain. I don't know where you are getting the idea that this is a reasonable suggestion, but it's not.
