Single Molecule image simulator_1.0

Summary:

This macro creates an image with one or several single molecules randomly positioned. Signal is built from a gaussian-fluctuating background plus 2D gaussian shapes representing individual molecules. Amplitude of the gaussian curve is randomized with user-defined min and max. Other user-defined parameters are: size of the image, nummber of molecules, background mean intensity and noise standard deviation. XY coordinates and gaussian amplitude are printed in a log table (comma-separated format).

Methods:

  1. Drag & drop the macro file on menu window

  2. Edit the parameters in the macro text

  3. Click “Run”
