Updates aws-lc-rs from 1.18.2 to 1.19.0

Release notes

Sourced from aws-lc-rs's releases.

aws-lc-rs v1.19.0

What's Changed

  • Add AES OFB, CFB8, and CFB1 modes by @lokeswarivejju in aws/aws-lc-rs#1259
    • Adds OperatingMode::OFB, OperatingMode::CFB8, and OperatingMode::CFB1 for AES-128, AES-192, and AES-256 through both the one-shot and streaming cipher APIs.
  • Add an on-demand AWS-LC self-test API by @Elvrarin in aws/aws-lc-rs#1262
    • Adds aws_lc_rs::try_fips_self_test(), allowing applications to re-run all AWS-LC cryptographic algorithm self-tests without calling the sys crate through unsafe FFI. This does not re-run the module integrity test.
  • Add Keccak-256 digest support behind "unstable" feature flag by @fabrice102 in aws/aws-lc-rs#1266
    • Adds aws_lc_rs::unstable::digest::KECCAK256 and KECCAK256_OUTPUT_LEN behind the unstable feature for use with the existing digest::digest and digest::Context APIs.
  • Add configurable RSA-PSS salt lengths by @PaulDance in aws/aws-lc-rs#1267
    • Adds RsaPssSaltLength::{Digest, Max, Custom} and with_pss_salt_length builders on RsaSignatureEncoding and RsaParameters, covering signing and verification for both message and precomputed-digest APIs.
  • Implement Clone for signing key pairs by @JakeHuneau in aws/aws-lc-rs#1277
    • rsa::KeyPair, EcdsaKeyPair, Ed25519KeyPair, and PqdsaKeyPair can now be cloned directly rather than wrapped in an Arc.
    • Clones share the immutable, reference-counted EVP_PKEY; key material is not duplicated, and a clone remains usable after the original is dropped.

Upstream AWS-LC

  • aws-lc-sys v0.47.0 aligns with AWS-LC v5.12.0 (previously v5.11.0).
  • aws-lc-fips-sys v0.14.4 updates its bundled AWS-LC FIPS 4.2.0 snapshot with recent FIPS 4.x backports.

Build Improvements

  • Lower the minimum system-installed AWS-LC version to 4.2.0 by @justsmth in aws/aws-lc-rs#1268
    • The default aws-lc-sys system-library path now accepts AWS-LC 4.2.0 or newer, previously 5.7.0, allowing use of a FIPS 4.x system library.
    • Enabling the unstable feature requires AWS-LC 5.7.0 or newer because unstable APIs currently include Keccak-256. Bundled-source builds are unaffected.
  • Share cc compiler detection across builds by @johncarmack1984 in aws/aws-lc-rs#1273
    • Reuses compiler detection results across the main library build and compiler feature probes, reducing repeated compiler invocations during cold builds.

Commits

Updates ron from 0.12.2 to 0.12.3

Release notes

Sourced from ron's releases.

v0.12.3

What's Changed

API Changes

  • Added the ron::de::from_value convenience function to deserialize a T from a Value (#618)
  • Removed the once_cell dependency (#625)

Format Changes

  • Add support for parsing Rust-style string continuation escapes (#617)
  • Serialise very large and very small floats in exponent notation, e.g. 1e300 instead of a 303-character decimal expansion (#638)

Bug Fixes

  • Fixed round-tripping of compact ranges whose start bound is inf or NaN (#605)
  • Fixed enforcement of recursion_limit for nested enum variants deserialised through serde's Content (e.g. untagged enums) (#632)
  • Fixed -NaN losing its sign when parsed as an untyped float on some targets, e.g. riscv64 (#634)
  • Fixed RawValue accepting unclosed line comments and extensions when deserialised from a non-RON format, e.g. JSON, which produced invalid RON on serialisation (#636)
  • Fixed RawValue::from_ron accepting #![type = "..."] and #![schema = "..."] attributes, which produced invalid RON when the raw value was serialised inside another value (#642)
  • Fixed compact_ranges dropping the struct name and newtype variant unwrapping when a range with non-numeric bounds is written as a struct (#629)
  • Fixed quadratic backtracking over malformed strings when checking for a newtype or tuple inside untagged enums or unwrapped newtype variants (#639)
  • Fixed RawValue accumulating extra whitespace around nested values each time a pretty-printed file is read and written again; non-comment whitespace around a nested RawValue is now trimmed on deserialisation (#640)
  • Fixed newtype variants deserialised through serde's Content (e.g. untagged enums) rejecting a trailing comma and not checking for the closing ), which accepted unbalanced parentheses (#643)
  • Fixed a comment directly after a string, byte string, or char literal being read as code when checking for a newtype or tuple inside untagged enums or unwrapped newtype variants, which rejected valid input or changed how it was deserialised (#644)
  • Fixed Value preallocating its sequence or map from an uncapped size hint when deserialised from a non-RON format, e.g. CBOR, so that a forged length aborted the process (#647)
  • Fixed untyped ranges, e.g. Value or untagged enums, rejecting an inf or NaN end bound after .. (as in 0.0..inf and ..NaN) or a byte literal end bound after a bare .. (as in ..b'z'), which broke round-tripping compact ranges with an infinite end bound (#648)
  • Fixed path_meta doc comments always ending with \n instead of PrettyConfig::new_line, which mixed line endings when using e.g. "\r\n" (#649)

Documentation

  • Mention the Zed extension in the tooling table (#630)
  • Add enum variants to the syntax overview in the README (#633)
  • Document no_std configuration and the global allocator requirement (#626)
  • Added "other implementations" section to the README (#628)
  • Fix the unwrap_variant_newtypes and implicit_some examples in the extensions docs, which did not enable their extension, and show how to enable extensions programmatically (#645)
  • Fixed mismatches between the docs/grammar.md and parser (char and Unicode escapes, backslashes in strings, whitespace around range operators and before extensions) (#635)

Miscellaneous

  • Remove the unsafe block from RawValue::trim_boxed (#646)
