This is a contained server-side performance optimization that replaces full checkpoint patches with bounded numstat summaries while preserving full-patch behavior for existing diff queries. Targeted tests cover large changes, special paths, renames, binaries, output limits, and state preservation, with no product-default or static-analysis override changes.
