  • line 737: latestRunningToolEntry searches all trailing lifecycle rows without discarding an earlier inProgress update that has been superseded by a later terminal update for the same toolCallId. A normal tool.started (inProgress) followed by tool.completed is retained as two entries (the lifecycle collapse deliberately only merges tool.updated/tool.completed), so this selects the stale start row, keeps work-live.active true, and suppresses the trailing thinking row after the tool has completed.
