fix(server): keep URL capability tokens out of request traces - #25595
Effect records url.full, url.path and url.query on every server span. Three routes carry a capability in the URL, and withUntracedRequests only skipped the OTLP proxy and /api/hooks/, so those tokens reached the trace file and any configured OTLP collector:
/api/assets/<token>/… — 60 minute TTL
/api/attachments/upload/<token> — 10 minute TTL
?wsTicket= on /ws, /api/device-hub/*, /api/preview-stream/*
withUntracedRequests now also matches the asset and upload path prefixes and the wsTicket/dpop query parameters. Matching on the parameter name covers all three routes that accept a ticket, instead of listing paths. The two constants are exported from EnvironmentAuth rather than duplicated as literals.
Scope and approval
Obvious bug: the predicate's own comment states that token-bearing URLs never reach a trace, and these three contradict it. One file plus its test, no behavior change for any other route.
Verification
vp test run apps/server/src/http.test.ts -t "keeps URL capabilities out of server spans"
Fails on main:
AssertionError: expected '{"http.route":"*",...}' not to contain 'asset-secret'
url.path: "/api/assets/asset-secret/image.png"
Passes with the change: 1 passed, 23 skipped.
vp run check:changed is green.
Known follow-up, not in this PR: with T3CODE_LOG_WS_EVENTS enabled, Effect's request logger writes http.url from stripSearchAndHash, so the path tokens still reach the log. Different hook, separate fix.
Effect records url.full, url.path and url.query on every server span. Asset,
upload and webhook tokens live in the path, and wsTicket/dpop in the query, so
they were landing in the trace file and in any configured OTLP collector.
Extend the tracer predicate to cover those prefixes and query params. Matching
the parameter name covers /ws, /api/device-hub and /api/preview-stream, which
all accept a ticket.
Macroscope's review found this PR requires human approval — This production change suppresses server tracing for URL paths and query parameters carrying authentication or capability tokens, including changes in the authentication package. Although the implementation is focused and tested, its security-sensitive effect warrants human review.

Walkthrough
The server now disables request tracing for additional URLs that can contain capability tokens. A new test checks that these values do not appear in server spans and that /api/threads remains visible.
Changes: Capability URL trace suppression
Layer / File(s)
Summary
Define and apply URL trace suppression apps/server/src/auth/EnvironmentAuth.ts, apps/server/src/http.ts, apps/server/src/http.test.ts
The tracing predicate suppresses webhook, asset, and attachment-upload paths, plus requests with WebSocket ticket or proof query parameters. The middleware uses this predicate, and the new test checks server span attributes.
The change is mergeable with a focused test follow-up: test DPoP without a WebSocket ticket so a future trace leak is detected.

Full details: Linked Issues check
Explanation
[#25594] The requirement is to keep capability-bearing URLs out of server request spans. The reviewed head meets it in apps/server/src/http.ts. isUntracedRequestUrl drives TracerDisabledWhen and returns true for: (a) paths starting with ${ASSET_ROUTE_PREFIX}/ (covers GET /api/assets/<token>/<file>); (b) paths starting with ${ATTACHMENT_UPLOAD_ROUTE_PREFIX}/ (covers POST /api/attachments/upload/<token>); (c) query strings containing wsTicket or dpop (covers /ws, /api/device-hub/*, /api/preview-stream/*, since the parameter name is matched regardless of path). The existing OTLP proxy path and webhook prefix checks are kept. Both prefix constants are imported in http.ts at the reviewed head. The query-parameter constants are exported from EnvironmentAuth.ts, which is the only other change in that file. Limit: I did not read the literal values of ASSET_ROUTE_PREFIX or ATTACHMENT_UPLOAD_ROUTE_PREFIX in AssetAccess.ts and AttachmentUpload.ts. The code assumes they equal /api/assets and /api/attachments/upload, which matches the issue reproduction. The test result (fails on main, passes with the change) is author-reported. The added test in http.test.ts covers the asset, upload, hook, wsTicket and DPoP cases, but I did not run it.
Full details: Out of Scope Changes check
Explanation
All changes map to #25594. http.ts adds the asset and upload path prefixes and the wsTicket/dpop query check, which implement the issue's listed URLs. The query-parameter constants are exported from EnvironmentAuth.ts so http.ts reuses them instead of duplicating literals. This supports the same objective. http.test.ts adds the regression test for the same URLs. The existing OTLP and webhook checks are preserved, so no other route changes behavior. The follow-up for request logging (http.url via stripSearchAndHash when T3CODE_LOG_WS_EVENTS is enabled) is not in the diff, which matches the PR's stated scope. No unrelated change was found in the reviewed diffs.

Add a dpop-only request so the test detects removal of that suppression.
The only dpop request also sends wsTicket, and wsTicket alone suppresses the span. If dpop is removed from UNTRACED_QUERY_PARAMS, this test still passes and does not detect a leak of the DPoP proof into server spans. Add a request that carries only dpop and include its value in the secret assertions.
