Password-protected OpenCode 1 servers could reject session startup: external health checks did not receive the configured password, and managed SDK requests did not receive the runtime-resolved password. Forward the configured password to connection setup and use the connection’s resolved password for SDK requests, preserving environment fallback when settings are blank.

Adds real HTTP Basic Authentication regression tests for health, session, and event requests. All 51 focused adapter tests pass; package typecheck and scoped lint/format passed. Managed subprocess startup is mocked in the regression fixture.

Model: GPT-6.1 through the Codex harness.

Approvability

Verdict: Needs Human Approval

Macroscope's review found this PR requires human approval — This focused fix changes how existing OpenCode sessions authenticate by propagating the resolved server password to health, session, and event requests. The PR also adds a line-level static-analysis suppression in its regression test, so human review is warranted.

📝 Walkthrough

OpenCode session setup now passes the configured server password to connection setup and uses the connection-provided password for the SDK client. A live test covers authenticated sessions with external and managed servers.

Keep the production managed connection path under test.

The managed branch replaces connectToOpenCodeServer and computes serverPassword in the test. It can therefore pass even if the production connector fails to return the password resolved by managed startup.

Retain the production connector and mock the lower-level ChildProcessSpawner used by startOpenCodeServerProcess. This preserves the production password resolution and handoff while avoiding a real subprocess. Replacing the runtime service’s startup method alone is insufficient because the connector calls its internally captured startup function.
