Cancelled queued runs are replayed into the next provider prompt, so text the user removed from the queue is silently treated as conversation history. This branch selects prior runs without checking whether they started; require startedAt before selecting a run for recovery.

A checkpoint captured in a non-Git folder is marked ready even though its checkpointRef was never created; if Git is initialized later, restore treats it as a Git checkpoint and fails on that missing ref, leaving rollback incomplete after the provider has already been rolled back. Persist whether the checkpoint is conversation-only and use that flag during restore instead of relying on the workspace's current Git status.

When Git detection times out or fails to spawn during restore, this guard skips restoreCheckpoint and returns success, so rollback reports success while leaving discarded-turn files in the workspace. isGitCheckpointable converts every detection error to false; call checkpointStore.isGitRepository directly here so detection failures propagate as restore errors.

Do not let ACP connect-indicator writes block startup.
If writeIfRunCurrent fails, it runs before providerSessions.open and settleStartFailure. The final failed attempt can leave the run in starting without starting the provider, which blocks the current user turn. The run can be cleared through the existing interrupt path, but that requires user intervention. The failed write does not establish that a visible running item was committed.
Keep interruption failures visible, but log ordinary indicator-write failures and continue startup.

Keep ACP indicator failures from blocking failed-run settlement.
When provider startup fails and willRetry !== true, settleStartFailure updates the ACP indicator before settling the run. If that update fails, settleRunBeforeStart does not execute and the run can remain starting. The effect worker only retries or fails the effect.
Catch the typed EventSinkWriteError and EventSinkStreamError failures for this best-effort update. Do not use a catch-all-cause handler, because it would also consume interruption.
