When a foldable with a vertical hinge is bent like a book, the list and detail panes now split exactly at the crease, and anchored menus stay on their anchor's side of it. This mirrors the existing iOS division handling in deriveLayout. A native view reads the fold from Jetpack WindowManager and the hinge angle sensor. It snaps at 170 degrees and releases at 175: Pixel foldables report the hinge in 5 degree steps and rest at 175 when nearly flat. Devices without a hinge sensor fall back to the half-opened posture.
… split While a book-posture hinge resizes the split, the list's width follows the animated pane edge, so its header actions slide with it instead of jumping ahead or sliding under the detail pane. Showing and hiding the sidebar still clip a fixed-width list. The detail keeps its wider width until the animation ends and then reflows once.

Problem
When a foldable with a vertical hinge is bent like a book, the crease runs down the middle of the inner screen. Content in that bent region is hard to read and hard to tap. Android's list/detail split ignores the crease. On a Pixel Fold-class display, the list ends about 70dp before the crease, so the start of the detail pane sits in the bend. Anchored menus such as the thread filter menu also open straight across it.
Change
T3FoldPostureview reads the vertical fold from Jetpack WindowManager and the hinge angle from the hinge sensor. It reports the crease position in dp only while the device is bent. The sensor is registered only while a vertical fold is on screen. Devices without a hinge sensor fall back to the platform's half-opened posture.alignListPaneToHingeends the list pane exactly at the crease, accounting for the navigation rail. It uses the same 280dp list and 320dp detail minimums as the iOS division path inderiveLayout, and reuses the existing pane width animation.deriveMenuHorizontalPlacementkeeps an anchored menu on its anchor's side of the crease. Without a hinge, placement is unchanged. Compose dropdowns get a hinge-safe trigger position, because Compose only knows the window edges. This is the Android counterpart of the hinge handling iOS already gets from UIKit reserved regions (the
divisionpath inderiveLayout).Scope and approval
No linked issue. This is a focused Android fix for content that falls in the bent region of a book-posture foldable. It brings the existing iOS behavior to Android, and nothing changes when the device is flat. Horizontal (tabletop) hinges are left alone. It is independent of #19424 and the draft chrome PR, and works with or without the rail. All three touch
AdaptiveWorkspaceLayout, so whichever merges later needs a small rebase. Most of this PR's diff there is re-indentation from the new context wrapper; hide whitespace to see the actual changes.Verification
vp test run apps/mobile/src/lib/layout.test.ts apps/mobile/src/lib/menu-placement.test.ts: 41 passed. New cases cover snapping after the rail, keeping the default split when either side would be too narrow, and keeping menus on their anchor's side.vp run --filter @t3tools/mobile typecheckpassed.
