fix(shared): unwatch, review guide, and task cancel labels read as plain sentences - #19767
Conversation
…ain sentences - unwatch_pull_request runs as "Unwatching", so an interrupted call reads "Stopped unwatching PR #12" instead of "Stopped stopping watching". - write_pull_request_guides finishes as "Started writing review guides", and so does its summary when a call's output lists no guides. - task_cancel reads "Requested cancellation of a delegated task". Closes #19760
ApprovabilityVerdict: Approved at Macroscope's review found this PR approvable — This is a narrowly scoped wording fix across existing work-log presentation paths, with no changes to product defaults, tool behavior, schemas, or static-analysis configuration. 🎯 Functional Correctness | 🟡 Minor | ⚡ Quick winUse a past-tense completed label for
watch_pull_request.The linked issue expects a successful watch call to read “Started watching,” but this entry uses “Watching” for both running and completed calls. Change the completed label to the requested past-tense wording.
The PR objectives identify “Started watching PR
#12” as the expected completed wording.🤖 Prompt for AI Agents

Taking over this one. I’ll keep the wording change on this PR, rebuild it against current main, trim the tests, and add before/after evidence from the app. |
Unwatch, review-guide, and delegated-task cancellation entries contained awkward or incomplete sentences. Update the shared label registry and the guide summary fallback so rows and groups read naturally across clients.
Completed watches keep “Watching”, as the maintainer decided. Counted guide outcomes retain their existing labels.
Maintainer takeover of @sg448’s #19767, preserving the author’s commits and merging current main. Rebuilt the fallback with the existing branch structure. Reduced four added cases plus one extended case to three behavior cases in the existing work-log suite.
Verification: main production gives three expected failures and 125 passes; the rebuilt head passes all 128 client-runtime cases plus 10 shared cases. Focused lint, formatting, and client-runtime/shared typechecks pass. Independent Claude Opus 5.5 and GPT-6 Sol whole-PR reviews found no issues in round one.
Verified in the Linux web app using isolated projected turn-item fixtures and real timeline components: running/stopped/completed unwatch, running/completed cancellation, completed guide row and repeated-guide fallback. No actual PR watch, guide generation, or task cancellation was invoked. Native macOS, Windows, Electron desktop, iOS, Android, and remote/relay/tunnel sessions were not exercised.
