fix(mobile): round shared Android sheets and Chat settings - #18547
Chat settings and the shared Android Sheet meet their headers with a square content edge on main. Reuse ScreenContent inside the generic sheet so every caller gets the existing rounded boundary, and route Android Chat settings through SettingsScreen. Preserve the existing iOS Chat wrapper and the sheet’s absolute/reversed composition for native sizing and first-scroll-view drag targeting.
The sheet uses the standard embedded Android header layout, with its title and back control vertically centered and no camera safe-area inset. Android’s standalone native grabber row is disabled; a noninteractive grip sits in the header’s existing top padding without replacing native sheet gestures. Header and native container use the same theme surface.
Rebased onto 5522180329c7 and narrowed the old 29-file audit to these two reproduced defects. The broader header replacements, surface-color API, route migrations and lint restriction are removed. Android no longer exposes Keyboard in the Settings list. The merged chat-corner fix is #23989; Add environment remains in #23452, and the separate workspace-sized sheet backdrop issue remains in #18492. Other historical audit surfaces are not claimed fixed or reverified by this revision.
Verification at ab1d0e4077
vp run check:changed: formatting, lint, both Knip passes, and mobile/scripts typechecks passed after the header revision. The earlier existing layout suite passed 16/16; no cosmetic UI tests added.
Native Android 17 emulator: open hinge 180°, inner display 2076 × 2152; closed hinge 0°, cover display 1080 × 2424. Grove dark/light captures, sheet selection, drag-to-expand, Android Back, header dismissal and reopening checked. Compatible native fingerprint ed36a9cc9856c84a322bb71e6d67744f0a00877d.
Native iPhone 18 Pro / iOS 27.0: Chat’s header, content and tab bar checked; Queue persisted through Back/reopen, then the original Steer choice was restored. Generic sheet selection, close and reopening passed, with dark/light captures. Main-versus-PR Chat content and tab-bar regions are pixel-identical; 270 differing pixels are confined to the native Back-button region. The generic iOS Sheet source is unchanged. Compatible native fingerprint f532a0c5902b69c7f69cc5fe9c807053700a07eb.
Synthetic demo/component-catalog content only. Physical devices, landscape and iPad/Duo runtime were not repeated. No native dependency or shared header-default changes.
The final header-alignment revision rechecked native expansion/collapse from the grip, selection, header dismissal, Android Back and reopening. Only the Android module changed in this follow-up; iPhone evidence below remains from the preceding verified revision. Latest verification details.

Macroscope's review found this PR requires human approval — This is a focused Android sheet and Chat settings UI polish change, with iOS behavior preserved. The Android Chat route now renders an in-app AppBar while its native stack header remains enabled, potentially showing two headers, so the unresolved functional issue needs human review.

Walkthrough
The Android sheet now renders children through ScreenContent and uses updated header styling. The follow-up settings route uses SettingsScreen on Android. Other platforms retain the existing sheet-styled View.
Changes: Android content framing
Layer / File(s)
Summary
Sheet and settings content framing apps/mobile/src/components/ui/Sheet.android.tsx, apps/mobile/src/features/settings/SettingsFollowUpRouteScreen.tsx
The Android sheet uses ScreenContent, a header background, and compact header settings. The follow-up settings route uses SettingsScreen on Android and removes its custom Android header and navigation setup. Other platforms retain the existing sheet-styled View.
Android Chat settings still shows two headers, reducing space for its choices. This is a bounded visual issue that can be addressed before merging or accepted for follow-up.
Security architecture risk: Low · up to e9d55
The inspected changes centralize presentation without changing existing navigation destinations, environment identity, or embedded-app controls. Broad screen adoption and incomplete verification of all consumers leave limited residual uncertainty.
Retained concerns
No architecture-level concerns identified.
Security review details
Security Blast Radius
inferred — The demonstrated propagation is within mobile presentation surfaces, including browser and embedded-app screens. The inspected wrappers do not acquire authority over their child content, and the selected sensitive consumers show no expansion of environment or resource scope.
Trust Boundaries and Controls
observed — The inspected browser consumer preserves focus, foreground, and picture-in-picture conditions for live streaming, along with existing tab identity and interactive control callbacks. Shared framing does not replace these lifecycle controls.
Resilience and Maintainability Implications
observed — The fullscreen app's new Android exit action invokes the existing onClose callback. Deferred exits while another screen is focused and automatic exits for pending approvals or user input retain their existing handling.

Could you link the maintainer request for this audit and confirm that it covers replacing the Android headers in the comment, arrangement, and fullscreen app screens? The Keyboard screenshots show the missing rounded boundary, but those header replacements and the global border default go beyond that example. The scope rule needs that direction established before review handoff.
On Android with the Material You theme, this discussion body now renders with the sheet surface instead of the screen surface, changing its background from palette.surface to palette.surfaceContainerLow. ScreenContent defaults to the sheet background; pass background="screen" to preserve the screen route's prior color.

Minor · Functional Correctness · Quick win
Hide the native header for the Android Chat route.
SettingsScreen renders an AppBar, but the SettingsFollowUp registration in apps/mobile/src/Stack.tsx still enables the native header. Opening Chat on Android therefore shows two headers and leaves less room for the choices. Set headerShown: Platform.OS !== "android" in that registration so the native header remains available on iOS. (raw.githubusercontent.com)

* fix(build): TEMPORARY workaround so linux-arm64 builds run on 16/64 KiB page kernels (pingdotgg#25825)
TEMPORARY workaround for an upstream Node bug: nodejs/node#67048
Node 26.9+ --build-sea writes linux-arm64 executables that 16/64 KiB page kernels cannot load.
linux-arm64 now injects with postject, and the archive build rejects incompatible ELF layouts.
One-time exception. Revert once Node ships a fix: grep for the Node issue URL and drop postject
from scripts/package.json.
Fixespingdotgg#23433. Replaces pingdotgg#23443.

Chat settings and the shared Android
Sheetmeet their headers with a square content edge on main. ReuseScreenContentinside the generic sheet so every caller gets the existing rounded boundary, and route Android Chat settings throughSettingsScreen.
Rebased onto
5522180329c7and narrowed the old 29-file audit to these two reproduced defects. Other historical audit surfaces are not claimed fixed or reverified by this revision.Verification at
ab1d0e4077vp run check:changed: formatting, lint, both Knip passes, and mobile/scripts typechecks passed after the header revision. The earlier existing layout suite passed 16/16; no cosmetic UI tests added.ed36a9cc9856c84a322bb71e6d67744f0a00877d.f532a0c5902b69c7f69cc5fe9c807053700a07eb.The final header-alignment revision rechecked native expansion/collapse from the grip, selection, header dismissal, Android Back and reopening. Only the Android module changed in this follow-up; iPhone evidence below remains from the preceding verified revision. Latest verification details.
