Problem

The mobile thread list leaves out two statuses that the web sidebar shows. The iPhone Home list and the iPad sidebar share one row component, so both are affected. A thread back from snooze returns to its old position with only its relative time, so nothing says it Woke. A running thread shows Working without the elapsed time. (The missing Waiting label from #15712 was fixed separately in #16693.)

Reproduce with the steps in #15712: a thread snoozed for one minute that wakes, and a Codex thread running sleep 1800. Then open the mobile thread list.

Fixes #15712.

Change

  • Working time: the row shows "Working 28m", counting from resolveThreadWorkingStartedAt in web's "42s" / "5m" / "1h 30m" format. formatWorkingDurationLabel moves from the web sidebar to client-runtime/state/models so both clients share one copy; web behavior is unchanged. It follows the Working or Goal label in the same status slot. The elapsed text ticks in its own small component, so only that text re-renders: every second for the first minute, then once a minute.
  • Woke: follows web's rule. The row shows Woke while the thread's threadWokeAt is later than its visited watermark and the thread is not settled. It uses an alarm icon in the warning color, like web's alarm-clock Woke label (Android maps alarm to IconAlarm). The order matches web: live status (Working/Goal, Waiting, Approval, Input, Failed, Limited), then Woke, then Done. The list computes Woke with the same clock that moves a waking thread out of Snoozed, so the label appears as the row moves back. Servers without visited tracking never show Woke: web falls back to a browser-local watermark there, and mobile has nothing that could clear it.
  • Dismiss Woke: a row menu item that sends the same thread.visit at the wake time as clicking web's Woke label. Mobile needs it for the marker to be clearable. As on web, a timer wake survives a plain visit, and mobile's visit stamps the thread's last activity, which is before the wake. Without this item, a mobile-only user could clear Woke only by settling, pinning, snoozing again, or sending a message. Like the other row actions, it first checks that the connection is allowed to change threads. The server keeps the later watermark, so dismissing on one device clears it on every device. The item's icon also gets its Android mapping (bell.slash → IconBellOff).

Scope and approval

Fixes the triaged bug #15712. The triage confirmed all three gaps on main and named this fix area: one status slot in thread-list-v2-items.tsx / threadListV2.ts that mirrors the web sidebar's Waiting, Woke from an unacknowledged threadWokeAt, and Working with the elapsed time, ticking in its own component. Dismiss Woke is the mobile counterpart of the dismiss that web's Woke label already provides, and the Woke fix needs it (see above).

The Waiting label landed separately in #16693. #14947 was closed with Woke and working time pointed to this PR, which now covers only those two.

Mobile only, plus moving one web formatter into client-runtime. No server or contract changes. Web also shows a Woke banner on the open thread; the mobile thread screen has no counterpart yet, and this PR leaves it as it is.

Verification

Tested the native app on an iPad Pro 11-inch (M5) Simulator, iOS 27.2, English, on this branch rebased onto 511d20c6f2. The iPad sidebar is now the native Home column, which uses the same row component as the iPhone Home list. The isolated dev server contained only a synthetic Acme Storefront project with three Codex (GPT-6-Astra) threads: one running sleep 3600, one finished, and one finished thread snoozed for one minute that then woke.

  • Before (main 511d20c6f2): the woke thread shows only its relative time ("3h"), and the running thread shows "Working" with no time.
  • After (this PR): the woke thread shows Woke with its alarm icon, and the running thread shows "Working 3m". Long-pressing the woke row and choosing Dismiss Woke changes its label back to the relative time ("3h"). The running row is faded; that is main's style for background work since feat(mobile): fade working threads and match web's status labels #17368.
  • vp test run apps/mobile/src/features/threads/threadListV2.test.ts packages/client-runtime/src/state/entities.test.ts apps/web/src/components/Sidebar.logic.test.ts: 279 passed. New cases cover the Woke rule (a timer wake survives a plain visit until dismissed; it stays off while snoozed, once settled, and without visited tracking) and resolving Woke with the precise clock rather than the minute clock. The formatter tests moved with the function.
  • tsc --noEmit passed in apps/mobile, apps/web, and packages/client-runtime. Lint on the 13 changed files reported 0 errors and the same 70 existing warnings as main. Formatting passed.

Not exercised: iPhone (same row component), Android, a physical device, and a server without visited tracking.

Before After
Before: the woke thread shows 3h and Working has no time After: Woke and Working 3m
Long press on the woke row After Dismiss Woke
Row menu with Dismiss Woke The woke row shows 3h after Dismiss Woke

After video (16 s)

The video is a native simulator capture at 1x speed, cropped to the sidebar; nothing was trimmed. Evidence is uploaded as GitHub release attachments on the contributor fork, not committed to the repository.

Approvability

Verdict: Approved at 7b323e3

Macroscope's review found this PR approvable — This is a contained mobile thread-list bug fix that adds status parity and elapsed working time while reusing existing wake and visit semantics. Production effects are limited to rendering existing thread state and an explicit Dismiss Woke acknowledgement; there are no schema, deployment, security, billing, or default changes.

📝 Walkthrough

Mobile thread rows now show Waiting, Woke, and Working durations. Users can dismiss Woke by recording a visit at the wake time. Duration formatting moves to client-runtime models, and Android maps bell.slash to IconBellOff.

Changes: Mobile thread status and wake handling

Layer / File(s) Summary
Derive Woke state for thread-list items
apps/mobile/src/features/threads/threadListV2.ts, apps/mobile/src/features/threads/threadListV2.test.ts
Card items derive Woke state from settlement, visit tracking, and wake time. The list compares this state, hides its time label while Woke, and tests the behavior across wake and visit timestamps.
Wire Woke dismissal to visit tracking
apps/mobile/src/features/threads/thread-list-v2-items.tsx, apps/mobile/src/features/home/*, apps/mobile/src/features/threads/ThreadNavigationSidebar.tsx
Rows show a Dismiss Woke action only while displaying Woke. Home and sidebar rows pass the action to a hook that records a visit at the wake time.
Render statuses and working duration
apps/mobile/src/features/threads/thread-list-v2-items.tsx, packages/client-runtime/src/state/*, apps/web/src/components/Sidebar*
Rows display Waiting, Woke, or Done according to status precedence, and show elapsed time for valid working start times. Duration formatting moves to client-runtime models; tests and the web import are updated.

Android bell-off icon mapping

Layer / File(s) Summary
Map bell.slash to Android icon
apps/mobile/src/components/AppSymbol.tsx
The Android icon mapping imports IconBellOff and uses it for bell.slash.

Merge Risk: ⚪ Minimal · up to eb5bf

The change adds Waiting, Woke, and Working-duration labels plus a Dismiss Woke action on mobile thread rows. No merge-blocking risk is evident from the supplied review context.

Security Architecture Review

Security architecture risk: 🔵 Low · up to 7b323

The change reuses an existing authenticated thread-visit operation rather than adding execution permissions. Acknowledgements preserve timestamp ordering, and failed requests do not falsely clear the marker. No introduced security vulnerability was established, although thread-level authorization assumptions remain incompletely verified.

Retained concerns
No architecture-level concerns identified.

Security review details

Security Blast Radius

  • inferred — The new normal-use write targets the selected row's environment and thread and affects shared read metadata across clients. For a crafted RPC request, the proven gate is authenticated orchestration-operate authority; thread-level isolation was not established. No provider or tool execution sink is invoked by the inspected visit handler.

Security Findings and Attack Paths

  • inferred — No PR-introduced authorization bypass was established. The new UI caller uses an already callable operation with the same environment/thread payload shape and required scope. Unproven per-thread authorization is an existing-path coverage gap, not a verified vulnerability attributable to this change.

Trust Boundaries and Controls

  • observed — Session scopes are checked before RPC execution. The inspected visit handler rejects deleted threads and invalid timestamps and preserves newer watermarks. Intake forwards non-message commands to thread management; these inspected layers do not establish a caller-to-thread ownership check.
