Suggest using Multicast to auto-discover phonegap serve machine on local network #97

You could use the chrome.socket plugin for that.

Specifically:

  • On phonegap serve, also listen on a predefined multicast port.
  • In the PhoneGap App host app, on startup, ping that predefined multicast port.
  • All local phonegap serve machines receive and reply with port number that serve is serving from (also, machine name & app name?).
  • PhoneGap App lists to the user the options.
  • ???
  • Profit!
