  • Opening this WIP 🚧 PR to highlight the work so far.
  • eslint@8 reached end-of-life, see https://eslint.org/version-support/
  • The plugin ecosystem likely moved on, maybe removing some of the barriers
  • Let's try to tackle this in the coming weeks!

When this is finished I'd LOVE a codemod to make transition a little easier. Any thoughts on this?

There is already something: https://eslint.org/docs/latest/use/configure/migration-guide#migrate-your-config-file
