TextEncoder and TextDecoder not defined

Hello,

since the last version 3.0.2, my mocks and some overall imports in test time broke with the following error message:

ReferenceError: TextEncoder is not defined
ReferenceError: TextDecoder is not defined

I could workaround it by setting it as a global variable in my jest setup:

global.TextEncoder = require('util').TextEncoder;
global.TextDecoder = require('util').TextDecoder;

But I think it would be great if the library can handle it on its own.

Not sure in which environment you're running your tests, but TextEncoder/TextDecoder is standard JS API and available in all current browsers and node.

Yep, getting the same issue here, it seems it's coming from the newly introduced fast-png v6 package (and its dependency iobuffer v5), here's part of my log on failing tests:

Could you provide some of your experience and environment, @HackbrettXXX ? I've used Node v20.19.4. There's no issue for jspdf@3.0.1, so this patch 3.0.2 seems to be having breaking changes.

Yes, I am getting the same error in the .test.tsx file after updating the jspdf package from 3.0.1 to 3.0.2

Please provide a full repro. I cannot reproduce it on node 20 or 22. This works:

import { jsPDF } from "jspdf";

const pdf = new jsPDF()

let imageData = await fetch("https://upload.wikimedia.org/wikipedia/commons/6/6a/PNG_Test.png").then(res => res.arrayBuffer())
pdf.addImage(new Uint8Array(imageData), "PNG", 10, 10, 100, 100)

pdf.save("test.pdf")

I have the same issue. Things were working fine on 2.x, then I upgraded to 3.0.3 and everything was broke. Downgraded to 3.0.1 and it appears to be working again. Using Node 22, NX 18, Angular 17, PrimeNG 17.
