udp: connect by sockaddr, read node:dgram connect() addresses as Node's handle does - #47315
node:dgram: socket.connect(port, "::1%lo", cb) calls cb with no error, but no connect(2) ran. remoteAddress() then throws ERR_SOCKET_DGRAM_NOT_CONNECTED. Node connects. A fuzz run found it.
bsd_connect_udp_socket (packages/bun-usockets/src/bsd.c:1839) returned the status of a blocking getaddrinfo(), or -1. Since Fixes #15480 #15611node:dgram tested only -1 (src/runtime/socket/udp_socket.rs:1716).
Fix
us_udp_socket_connect takes a sockaddr. No host string and no getaddrinfo() status crosses UDP connect.
node:dgram: the native connect reads the address by the family of the handle, as libuv's uv_ip6_addr() does, and returns a libuv code. doConnect builds connect <code> <address>:<port>, as Node does.
Bun.udpSocket({ connect }): an address connects as written, so ::1%lo works. A host name still resolves.
Verified: test/js/node/dgram/node-dgram-connect.test.ts runs in Bun and in Node v26.3.0. 17 of its 19 tests fail on main. Self-reviewed: 12 concerns raised, 12 addressed.
Background
A connected UDP socket has one peer. send() takes no address.
A zone (%lo) names the interface of an IPv6 address.
Node's UDP handle never resolves. It takes an address of the socket's family, or returns UV_EINVAL.
Breaking, as in Node: a udp6 socket no longer connects to an IPv4 literal. A custom lookup that answers a host name or 127.1 gives connect EINVAL.
send(), bind() and the membership methods still take what connect() now refuses.
Cost: release text +3,009 bytes, disconnect() 63 to 75 instructions, the IPv4 literal parse of Bun.connect() 1,176 to 1,177. A dgram connect to 127.0.0.1 falls from 3,798 to 430.
Notes
Rebased onto main 9365e0c on 11-04. One conflict, in Bun__parseIpAddress: #47871 typed its out-parameter as Option<&mut MaybeUninit<sockaddr_storage>>. parse_ip_address now takes that out-parameter and returns the reference that MaybeUninit::write gives. The export writes the address in place, as on main, with no unsafe for it. Bun.udpSocket({ connect }), the other caller, passes a MaybeUninit local. Nothing else differs from the commits that were reviewed (git range-diff: commits 2 to 5 are the same). One commit is new on top of them: a test that a udp6 socket sends to another address after disconnect(), which macOS and FreeBSD refuse with EISCONN while a peer is set.
Checked on that base (Linux x64, debug build with ASAN):
The three test files. Main's source: 17, 4 and 3 fail. This branch: 19, 66 and 250 pass.
Also pass: the 78 upstream test-dgram-*.js, node-dgram.test.js, udp_socket_recv_flags.test.ts, socket-dns-error.test.ts (the literal parse of Bun.connect()), and bun run rust:check-all for Windows, macOS and FreeBSD.
Main moved to cdfa19b during this work. The branch merges into it with no conflict. The merge builds and passes the three test files.
CI on 79f615f (build 137462): the three test files pass on every lane, which are Linux, Windows, and macOS on arm64 and x64. The build is red on test/aot tests and compile-aot-size, which fail on main too (builds 137445 and 137457).
The tables and the CI results below are from before the rebase (base bf80135), except five rows of the cost table.
A fuzz run against Node found this. No user reported it. The false success dates from #15611 (bun-v1.1.39).
This supersedes #38622 (the != 0 patch). Its tests that run on Linux pass on this branch, except one that #40986 outdated on main (example!!!!!.com is now getaddrinfo ENOTFOUND). Its Windows test (Bun.udpSocket({ connect }) to 0.0.0.0 gives EADDRNOTAVAIL) is a test here too. #38588 edits the resolver loop that this change moves to UDPSocket::connect_name. The draft #47076 touches the same two Rust files.
What changes for node:dgramconnect() (Linux x64, main bf80135, Node v26.3.0)
The rows in bold are the breaking ones. Of 56 texts that a custom lookup can return (udp4 and udp6), main gives Node's result on 8 and this branch on 54.
Where this branch differs from Node on purpose
A NUL in the address. Node's handle reads a C string, so 127.0.0.1\0x connects to 127.0.0.1 there, also when sendBlockList blocks 127.0.0.1. Main refuses the text and this branch keeps that, as connect EINVAL.
sendBlockList and a text that net.isIP() does not know. Node asks the list about family ipv0, which blocks nothing. This branch asks about the family of the handle, so a blocked ::1 is also blocked as ::1%.
A zone that is a number, off Windows. libuv reads a zone as an interface name only. dns.lookup() in Bun prints the zone of a link-local answer as a number, so the handle reads both. A number that 32 bits do not hold is no zone, as in Node. scope_index wrapped it before (fe80::1%4294967297 was index 1), also for Bun.connect().
Not in this change
send(), bind(), addMembership() and the other membership methods of node:dgram read an address with other rules than Node's handle. Example: a udp6 socket on :: still sends to 127.0.0.1, and Node gives send EINVAL. A lookup that answers 127.1 still makes send() reach a 127.0.0.1 that sendBlockList blocks, as on main.
bind() and listen() with ::1%lo still fail: bsd_create_udp_socket and bsd_create_listen_socket hand the literal to getaddrinfo(). Example: dgrambind(0, "::1%lo") gives bind ENOENT ::1%lo. udp: report an unresolvable bind hostname as a getaddrinfo error #37707 is open on the UDP bind site.
address() and remoteAddress() print a link-local address without its zone.
Bun.udpSocket({ connect }) with a host name still blocks the JS thread in getaddrinfo(). The call moved from C to connect_name, with the same hints.
Cost, measured (release builds, Linux x64, glibc. The rows for the native connect, the native disconnect, the unconnected send, the literal parse and the release binary are of 9365e0c and of 79f615f, after the rebase. The other rows are of bf80135 and of the branch before the rebase.)

Tests
node-dgram-connect.test.ts is a new file because it uses node:test, so that the same file runs under Node. Its last test does that. Main: 17 fail. Branch: 19 pass.
udp_socket.test.ts: the connect option with a zone, a host name, a resolver failure, a refused address and a zone number past 32 bits. Main: 3 fail.
Also run: 78 upstream test-dgram-*.js, node-dgram.test.js, udp_socket_recv_flags.test.ts, bun run rust:check-all for Windows, macOS and FreeBSD. Windows and macOS were type-checked here and not run here. In CI every lane passes the three files: Linux, both Windows lanes, and macOS on arm64 and x64 (the node file: 13 pass and 6 skip on Windows, 14 pass and 5 skip on macOS).

Walkthrough
UDP connect paths now pass parsed IPv4 or IPv6 addresses to native socket calls. The runtime resolves hostnames when needed and reports connection outcomes through libuv-style status codes. Tests cover address parsing, hostname resolution, socket families, and connection errors.
The native connect interfaces accept sockaddr_storage addresses instead of hostnames and ports. The BSD implementation selects the address length, retries interrupted calls, and handles platform-specific disconnect results.
The runtime parses numeric addresses into caller-provided storage. It rejects embedded NULs, hostnames, shorthand addresses, and family mismatches in the numeric-address parser.
Runtime connection and status handling src/runtime/socket/udp_socket.rs, src/sys/Error.rs
The runtime connects to parsed addresses or resolves hostnames and tries returned addresses. Connect and disconnect return libuv-style status codes, with error conversion handled through Error::uv_errno().
Node dgram status handling src/js/node/dgram.ts
UDP handles retain their socket family and use status-returning connect and disconnect calls. Block-list checks fall back to the handle family when the address family cannot be inferred.
Tests cover address parsing and resolution, IPv6 zones, family mismatches, block lists, closed sockets, and connection errors. The harness adds a cached IPv6 loopback availability check.

Explanation
The title "udp: connect by sockaddr, read node:dgram connect() addresses as Node's handle does" matches the main change. The changeset replaces host-string and getaddrinfo()-based UDP connect with a sockaddr-based connect (bsd.c, udp.c, uws_sys/udp.rs, udp_socket.rs). It also changes node:dgram connect() address parsing to follow the handle's family, as Node does. The title is concise and specific, and it names both parts of the change. It is a little long (83 characters), but it is clear.

Status: rebased onto main (9365e0c). The head is 79f615f. CI on it (build 137462): the three UDP test files pass on every lane, which are Linux, Windows, and macOS on arm64 and x64. The build is red on test/aot tests and compile-aot-size. They fail on main too (builds 137445 and 137457), and this diff does not touch them.
Reproduced on Linux x64 with a release build of main (bf80135) and the script from the report: socket.connect(port, "::1%lo", cb) on a udp6 socket calls cb with no error, then remoteAddress() throws ERR_SOCKET_DGRAM_NOT_CONNECTED and send() fails with EDESTADDRREQ. The script exits 1 on main and 0 on this branch. Node v26.3.0 exits 0.
On main at 9365e0c (debug build with ASAN) the three UDP test files still fail 17, 4 and 3 tests. The rebased branch passes them.
The rebase had one conflict, in Bun__parseIpAddress (src/runtime/socket/SocketAddress.rs). The Notes of the description have the resolution and what was run.
CI before the rebase: build 135430 passed on every lane for 2af0c66.
One decision is open for a maintainer: the two breaking rows in the description. A udp6 socket no longer connects to an IPv4 literal, and a custom lookup that answers a host name or 127.1 gives connect EINVAL. Node does the same.
The reason will be displayed to describe this comment to others. Learn more.
Beyond the inline findings, I also checked the two behavior changes a human is most likely to question: the udp6-handle connect EINVAL for IPv4 literals and resolver-returned names in src/js/node/dgram.ts matches Node's UDPWrap::DoConnect (libuv uv_ip6_addr parses only a literal of the handle's family, and an unknown %zone silently becomes scope 0 there too), and the macOS/FreeBSD EINVAL-as-success arm in bsd_disconnect_udp_socket mirrors libuv's uv__udp_disconnect. The getaddrinfo result in connect_name is owned by bun_dns::ResultAny::Addrinfo before any early return, so it is freed on every path.
Extended reasoning...
The change replaces host-string UDP connect in uSockets C with a sockaddr-based connect, adds connect_addr/connect_name and parse_uv_ip_address in Rust, and switches the node:dgram bindgen connect/disconnect to libuv error codes with new family/connect fields on the internal handle. It touches no auth, crypto, or data-exposure surface, but it is a deliberate breaking change for node:dgram udp6 sockets and spans C, cfg-gated Rust, and JS across Linux/macOS/FreeBSD/Windows. Three inline findings (a non-hermetic DNS test, duplicated hasIPv6Loopback helpers, and an assert.fail inside an event listener) plus the cross-platform and compat scope mean a human should still review; the note records what else was examined and ruled out.
Findings marked 🟡 are optional suggestions and need no follow-up push.
The reason will be displayed to describe this comment to others. Learn more.
I re-reviewed after 0689eed, which addresses the three inline comments from my earlier pass, and found no bugs in this version. Because the change deliberately alters node:dgramconnect() behavior (a udp6 socket no longer connects to an IPv4 literal; a custom lookup answering a name now gets connect EINVAL) and rewires the UDP connect path across C, Rust and JS with Windows/macOS/FreeBSD branches that were type-checked but not run, a human look at the breaking rows in the description is still worthwhile.
What was reviewed:
bsd_connect_udp_socket / bsd_disconnect_udp_socket: the family check sets WSAEINVAL/EINVAL before returning -1, the EINTR loops use the existing per-platform IS_EINTR, and the Rust safe fn extern matches the new C signature parameter-by-parameter.
connect_name: the getaddrinfo result is owned by bun_dns::ResultAny::Addrinfo, which frees a non-null head on every exit including the EAI error path; connect_addr is the single site that sets connect_info, so EISCONN/EBADF ordering is shared by the bindgen connect and the Bun.udpSocket({connect}) paths.
doConnect / disconnect in dgram.ts now match Node's ExceptionWithHostPort(err, "connect", address, port) and ErrnoException(err, "connect") contracts, and the Rust side returns -UV_E::INVAL / uv_errno() rather than throwing.
Tests: the resolver-failure cases are now ::1%x y and ::1%/etc/passwd, which glibc rejects (non-link-local address with a zone) before any name service query, so no off-machine DNS traffic; the one remaining lookup of localhost goes through the local hosts file.
Extended reasoning...
The PR reworks UDP connect/disconnect across packages/bun-usockets/src/bsd.c, src/uws_sys/udp.rs, src/runtime/socket/udp_socket.rs, src/runtime/socket/SocketAddress.rs, src/sys/Error.rs and src/js/node/dgram.ts, replacing a host-string connect that ran getaddrinfo in C with a sockaddr-based connect and a Node-style address parse, plus three test files. It touches no auth, crypto or injection surface; the security-relevant point is NUL handling in addresses handed to C, which parse_uv_ip_address rejects up front. The follow-up commit resolved all three of my earlier inline findings (shared hasIPv6Loopback, hermetic resolver-failure inputs, listener wired to reject), and the hunt ran dry with no findings on this version. Defer rather than approve because the change is an intentional Node-compat breaking change for node:dgram users and includes platform-gated code (Windows, macOS, FreeBSD) that the author states was type-checked but not run. No CODEOWNERS entry covers the changed files.

Check the canonical address before the send block list.
A custom lookup can return 127.1. BlockList.check does not match it against a 127.0.0.1 rule. The native send then parses 127.1 as 127.0.0.1 and sends the datagram. Use one parsed address for both the block-list check and the send.

and native send cannot interpret the same input differently.
Cover unusable-first address fallback with a deterministic test.
This test connects a udp4 socket, bound to 127.0.0.1, to localhost. The resolver order from getaddrinfo determines which address the connect loop tries first. When 127.0.0.1 is first, the test passes even if the implementation stops after the first address. The fallback path runs only when ::1 is first, and the test does not control that order. No other test in the inspected UDP and dgram tests covers an unusable first address followed by a usable one.
Add a test that makes the first candidate unusable and the second usable, or rename this test so it does not claim fallback coverage.

Unverified finding
We couldn't verify this from the code. It is shown for review, not as a verified issue.
The macOS/FreeBSD disconnect path treats every EINVAL from connect(AF_UNSPEC) as a successful disconnection, although EINVAL could also describe a rejected address or length that left the peer association intact.
disconnect() reports success and clears runtime connection state while the descriptor remains connected to its old peer.
This can occur when: An affected kernel returns EINVAL for the supplied disconnect sockaddr without removing a connected UDP socket's peer.

…'s handle does
`bsd_connect_udp_socket` took a host string, resolved it with a blocking
getaddrinfo() and returned either the getaddrinfo status or -1. The
connect() of node:dgram tested only -1, so a failed lookup read as a
connected socket. glibc refuses a zone name on an address that is not
link-local, so `socket.connect(port, "::1%lo", cb)` called back with no
error and no connect(2).
- uSockets: `us_udp_socket_connect` takes a sockaddr and returns 0 or -1
with the error in errno / WSAGetLastError().
- `UDPSocket::connect_addr` is the one caller.
- node:dgram: the native connect reads the address by the family of the
handle, with the rules of libuv's uv_ip4_addr() / uv_ip6_addr(), and
returns 0 or a negative libuv code. `doConnect` builds the
ExceptionWithHostPort, as Node does. disconnect() reports its error
the same way.
- `Bun.udpSocket({ connect })`: an address connects as it is written. A
host name still goes to one blocking getaddrinfo().
…very event
- dgram.test.ts uses the helper of the harness. Its own copy is gone.
- udp_socket.test.ts keeps only the zoned texts for the resolver failure.
glibc refuses those before it asks a name service.
- node-dgram-connect.test.ts: a 'connect' event rejects the awaited
promise. Nothing throws inside a listener.
`scope_index` added the digits of a decimal `%zone` with wrapping
arithmetic, so `fe80::1%4294967297` became the interface with index 1.
The sum is now checked. A number that a `u32` does not hold is index 0,
as a name that no interface has.
The row builds `fe80::1%<name>` from the name of the loopback interface.
With no name the zone was the text "undefined", and connect() gave
EINVAL where the row expects ENETUNREACH.
The reason will be displayed to describe this comment to others. Learn more.
I reviewed the latest push and found no bugs; the four earlier inline comments are addressed in code (resolver test now uses zones glibc refuses locally, the file-local hasIPv6Loopback is gone, the 'connect' listener rejects the awaited promise, and the fe80::1%undefined case is skipped). Because this is an intentional breaking change to node:dgram connect semantics across C, Rust and JS, a human look at that decision is still worthwhile.
What was reviewed:
bsd_connect_udp_socket / bsd_disconnect_udp_socket rewrite: family check before connect(2), EINTR retry, Windows sockaddr_storage for disconnect — old getaddrinfo status no longer leaks as a return value.
connect_addr / connect_name in udp_socket.rs: ResultAny::Addrinfo frees the list on every exit, connect_info is set only after a successful connect(2), EISCONN/EBADF pre-checks match the old throw sites.
parse_uv_ip_address and scope_index: embedded NUL rejected before parsing, family mismatch is EINVAL, overflowing decimal zone now folds to 0 instead of wrapping.
dgram.ts doConnect/disconnect error shapes checked against Node's lib/dgram.js (ExceptionWithHostPort(err, 'connect', address, port), ErrnoException(err, 'connect')); UV_E::INVAL/BADF/NOTCONN confirmed positive magnitudes on both POSIX and Windows so -UV_E::X is the libuv code.
Extended reasoning...
The diff reworks UDP connect/disconnect across uSockets C (bsd.c, udp.c), the Rust runtime (udp_socket.rs, SocketAddress.rs, Error.rs, uws_sys/udp.rs), the bindgen signature, and src/js/node/dgram.ts, plus three test files and a harness helper. It touches no auth or crypto surface, but it does change user-facing network behavior on purpose: a udp6 dgram socket no longer connects to an IPv4 literal and custom lookups that return names now get connect EINVAL, matching Node. The hunt ran dry with no findings and every prior inline comment is addressed in the new commits, but the change is ~900 lines with cfg-gated Windows/macOS/FreeBSD paths that were type-checked rather than run here and a deliberate compatibility break, so a human should weigh the breaking decision rather than this review approving alone.

scope_index returns a numeric zone such as 5 as the scope ID on Windows. No Windows test connects to a link-local address with a valid numeric zone. The numeric-zone test in test/js/bun/udp/dgram.test.ts is skipped on Windows, and the link-local cases in test/js/bun/udp/udp_socket.test.ts run only on Linux. Adding the test is optional. The current code assigns the scope correctly, and the test gap affects only regression coverage.

macOS and FreeBSD answer EINVAL when an AF_INET6 socket connects to
AF_UNSPEC, after they dissolved the association. A socket that still
had a peer would refuse the send with EISCONN.
EINVAL from the disconnect on macOS and FreeBSD. Both kernels dissolve the association before the protocol sees the AF_UNSPEC address. soconnectlock() (XNU, bsd/kern/uipc_socket.c) and soconnectat() (FreeBSD, sys/kern/uipc_socket.c) both say "if connected, try to disconnect first". libuv accepts the same two codes. 79f615f adds a check that the macOS lanes run: after disconnect() a udp6 socket sends to another address. Both kernels refuse that send with EISCONN while a peer is set.
The two test suggestions (a fallback case with a fixed resolver order, and a numeric zone on Windows). They are not added. Each needs a host setup that a test cannot control: a name with two records in a known order, and a link-local address on the Windows hosts.

I reviewed the rebased branch (cd29c9f..79f615f) and found no bugs; the three items raised on earlier pushes are now addressed in code (one hasIPv6Loopback in test/harness.ts used by both UDP test files, the 'connect' listener in node-dgram-connect.test.ts rejects the awaited promise, the fe80::1%<loopback> row skips when loopbackInterface is undefined). Because this intentionally breaks udp6connect() to an IPv4 literal and to custom-lookup host names, and changes a C FFI signature with Windows/macOS/FreeBSD branches that cannot be type-checked on this Linux checkout, a human look is still worthwhile.
What was reviewed:
bsd_connect_udp_socket / bsd_disconnect_udp_socket: family gate before connect(2), EINTR retry, errno/WSA error propagation into get_us_error::<true>, and the Windows sockaddr_storage disconnect shape.
connect_name: getaddrinfo result ownership (ResultAny::Addrinfo frees on every exit), EAI mapping with syscall connect, EAFNOSUPPORT default when no entry fits.
parse_uv_ip_address / scope_index: NUL rejection, family check against the handle, decimal zone overflow now yields 0 rather than wrapping; -UV_E::* return codes match the sibling usage in node_cluster_binding.rs.
dgram.tsdoConnect/disconnect error construction (ExceptionWithHostPort, ErrnoException(err, "connect")) against Node's lib/dgram.js.
Extended reasoning...
The change rewrites UDP connect across uSockets C (bsd.c, udp.c, bsd.h), the Rust FFI shim and udp_socket.rs, SocketAddress.rs address parsing, bun_sys::Error::uv_errno, and node:dgram's connect/disconnect, plus roughly 650 lines of new tests. It touches no auth or crypto surface, but it parses untrusted address text handed to connect(2) and alters sendBlockList family lookup; those paths were checked and found consistent with libuv's uv_ip4_addr/uv_ip6_addr. No bug hunter findings and no open third-party CHANGES_REQUESTED review exist, and all three of this bot's prior inline threads are verifiably addressed in the current code. Deferring rather than approving because the PR is large, deliberately breaking for udp6 sockets connecting to IPv4 literals, and its Windows/macOS/FreeBSD cfg-gated branches cannot be compiled here.

Problem
node:dgram:socket.connect(port, "::1%lo", cb)callscbwith no error, but no connect(2) ran.remoteAddress()then throwsERR_SOCKET_DGRAM_NOT_CONNECTED. Node connects. A fuzz run found it.bsd_connect_udp_socket(packages/bun-usockets/src/bsd.c:1839) returned the status of a blockinggetaddrinfo(), or-1. Since Fixes #15480 #15611node:dgramtested only-1(src/runtime/socket/udp_socket.rs:1716).Fix
us_udp_socket_connecttakes a sockaddr. No host string and nogetaddrinfo()status crosses UDP connect.node:dgram: the nativeconnectreads the address by the family of the handle, as libuv'suv_ip6_addr()does, and returns a libuv code.doConnectbuildsconnect <code> <address>:<port>, as Node does.Bun.udpSocket({ connect }): an address connects as written, so::1%loworks. A host name still resolves.test/js/node/dgram/node-dgram-connect.test.tsruns in Bun and in Node v26.3.0. 17 of its 19 tests fail on main. Self-reviewed: 12 concerns raised, 12 addressed. Background
send()takes no address.%lo) names the interface of an IPv6 address.UV_EINVAL.!= 0test in the caller (udp: report a failed connect() as the socket error, not a getaddrinfo error #38622). It keeps a blockinggetaddrinfo()per connect.Downsides
udp6socket no longer connects to an IPv4 literal. A customlookupthat answers a host name or127.1givesconnect EINVAL.send(),bind()and the membership methods still take whatconnect()now refuses.disconnect()63 to 75 instructions, the IPv4 literal parse ofBun.connect()1,176 to 1,177. A dgram connect to127.0.0.1falls from 3,798 to 430.Notes
Rebased onto main 9365e0c on 11-04. One conflict, in
Bun__parseIpAddress: #47871 typed its out-parameter asOption<&mut MaybeUninit<sockaddr_storage>>.parse_ip_addressnow takes that out-parameter and returns the reference thatMaybeUninit::writegives. The export writes the address in place, as on main, with nounsafefor it.Bun.udpSocket({ connect }), the other caller, passes aMaybeUninitlocal. Nothing else differs from the commits that were reviewed (git range-diff: commits 2 to 5 are the same). One commit is new on top of them: a test that a udp6 socket sends to another address afterdisconnect(), which macOS and FreeBSD refuse withEISCONNwhile a peer is set.Checked on that base (Linux x64, debug build with ASAN):
test-dgram-*.js,node-dgram.test.js,udp_socket_recv_flags.test.ts,socket-dns-error.test.ts(the literal parse ofBun.connect()), andbun run rust:check-allfor Windows, macOS and FreeBSD.test/aottests andcompile-aot-size, which fail on main too (builds 137445 and 137457).The tables and the CI results below are from before the rebase (base bf80135), except five rows of the cost table.
A fuzz run against Node found this. No user reported it. The false success dates from #15611 (
bun-v1.1.39).This supersedes #38622 (the
!= 0patch). Its tests that run on Linux pass on this branch, except one that #40986 outdated on main (example!!!!!.comis nowgetaddrinfo ENOTFOUND). Its Windows test (Bun.udpSocket({ connect })to0.0.0.0givesEADDRNOTAVAIL) is a test here too. #38588 edits the resolver loop that this change moves toUDPSocket::connect_name. The draft #47076 touches the same two Rust files. What changes for

Where this branch differs from Node on purpose
127.0.0.1\0xconnects to 127.0.0.1 there, also whensendBlockListblocks 127.0.0.1. Main refuses the text and this branch keeps that, asconnect EINVAL.sendBlockListand a text thatnet.isIP()does not know. Node asks the list about familyipv0, which blocks nothing. This branch asks about the family of the handle, so a blocked::1is also blocked as::1%.dns.lookup()in Bun prints the zone of a link-local answer as a number, so the handle reads both. A number that 32 bits do not hold is no zone, as in Node.scope_indexwrapped it before (fe80::1%4294967297was index 1), also forBun.connect().Not in this change
