Nothing blocking. The comments below are optional suggestions. There is no need to push a fix for them before merging.
Beyond the inline findings, I also checked the rewritten hook in packages/bun-usockets/src/node_quic_shim.c for the empty-name case (name[0] is guarded by !hdr->name_len, and both helpers return 0 for n == 0) and the max_bytes precheck still running before the CR/LF filter (a dropped field at the byte limit returns 0 either way, so the result is the same). The sendRawHeadersForTesting closure is assigned in the QuicStream static block before the module's default export object is built, matching the existing getQuicStreamState pattern, so the bun:internal-for-testing re-export is live.
Extended reasoning...
The change rewrites the lsquic header-decode hook in the node:quic C shim to silently drop regular HTTP/3 fields holding CR or LF (keeping the NUL connection-close), adds a test-only raw header sender in src/js/internal/quic/quic.ts exposed via bun:internal-for-testing, and adds four tests. It touches a wire-data parsing path that is security-relevant (header injection), and inline findings were posted, so a human decision on the pseudo-header and NUL handling is still needed.
nq_hsi_process_header refused NUL only, so a field name or value that holds CR or LF reached onheaders, oninfo, ontrailers and stream.headers. The hook now leaves a regular field that holds CR or LF out of the block and delivers the rest. This is what nghttp3 1.15.0 does for Node: it answers NGHTTP3_ERR_REMOVE_HTTP_HEADER for the field and goes on. The field is left out before it is counted against maxHeaderPairs and maxHeaderLength, as in Node. NUL is as before: the connection closes. A pseudo-header that holds CR or LF is as before too: it is delivered. nghttp3 fails the message there, and the hook can only do that by closing the connection. sendHeaders() refuses a name that is not a token, so the test for names uses a raw sender from bun:internal-for-testing.
The tests of this block waited for callback latches, so a block that did not arrive ended in a timeout with no cause. They now wait for `stream.closed` and `client.close()`. New rows: CR or LF as the first, the last and the only byte of a name or value, a 3 KB value, `te`, and a maxHeaderLength row that fails when a field that is left out is counted. The raw sender comes through a namespace import, so the file loads on a build that does not have it.
lsqpack decodes the name and then the value into one buffer, so one memchr for each byte covers both. A pseudo-header needs the NUL scan only. The two helper functions go away.

I reviewed the new push and found no bugs; since this changes how native code treats peer-controlled header bytes and the drop-vs-fail question is still open for a maintainer, a human look is still worthwhile.
What was reviewed on this push:
- The one-pass scan in node_quic_shim.c: lsqpack lays out every decoded field as
name,": ",value,"\r\n"in the buffer fromnq_hsi_prepare_decode, soval_offset >= name_offset, the scanned region is initialized, and the trailing CRLF falls outsidefield_len; the empty-name guard precedesname[0]. - The raw sender's
name\0value\0\0block and[block, count]tuple matchbuildNgHeaderString(kNoHeaderFlagsis"\0") and the three real#handle.sendHeaderscall sites. - The
maxHeaderLength: 57/maxHeaderPairs: 5arithmetic in the test is exact (48 pseudo bytes, 9 for x-bad, 8 for x-ok), and the tests now settle onclosedrather than on callback-only resolvers.
Extended reasoning...
The diff rewrites the lsquic hset_if process_header hook in packages/bun-usockets/src/node_quic_shim.c to scan one contiguous name+value region of the decode buffer and silently drop non-pseudo fields containing CR or LF before counting them, adds a test-only raw header sender in src/js/internal/quic/quic.ts exposed through bun:internal-for-testing, and adds six tests in test/js/node/quic/quic-stream.test.ts. The security-sensitive surface is header-injection handling of adversarial peer bytes in native code; the scan bounds, the raw block format, and the limit arithmetic in the tests were checked and hold. A human look is still warranted because the PR explicitly leaves a policy question open (drop the field as nghttp3 does versus fail the message as Bun.serve/fetch do), two competing open PRs cover the same row, and pseudo-headers with CR/LF are still delivered by design. No CODEOWNERS entry covers the changed files and no third-party objection is outstanding.
