Unable to reapply for a new year following an account reinstatement

Hi everyone,

I just received my school certificate for this year, but GitHub won't let me reapply. Education Benefits from my profile's settings redirects to the pricing page of GitHub.

I think it is linked to the reinstatement request that I have done some months ago, after my account was flagged for no reason.
Therefore, my application is marked as pending since this time (I guess), and I can't apply again.

This is what I can see on the Developer Pack page.

If your Student Developer Pack application is stuck in “pending” after an account reinstatement, you’ll need to reach out to GitHub Education Support directly.

👉 Submit a request to GitHub Education

They can manually review your case, clear the pending status, and allow you to reapply with your updated school certificate.
Unfortunately, this can’t be fixed from the user side alone.

Hi @BrightDV,

The "pending" status means that the application is being reviewed for further verification, so you can't re-apply. You'll have to wait in the meantime.

If your application is still pending after a couple of weeks, contact support by opening a ticket here, select "Other" and explain your problem.
