Github pages do not update even after build and deployment actions get completed.

I have created a website www.dpcfd.com (https://github.com/divyaprakash-iitd/divyaprakash-iitd.github.io), by forking the academic pages repository. I have made changes to about me pages in _pages/about.md and pushed it to github. When I open the file in github I can see that the changes are indeed present, but they do not reflect on my website. I do not see any build errors in actions tab. So I am not sure what is wrong. I have even waited about 12 hours thinking it may be a time issue, but I can't see the change getting reflected on the website. Please help!

I think the following was the issue.
I had renamed the previous about.md page as old_about.md. Maybe it's presence was creating the issue.
Once I deleted it and kept only about.md, the website is updating.
