pivot: Add some more logging #1801

Let's log explicitly to the journal if we're initiating a reboot, just like the rest of the MCD does. Also add logging at the start/end for clarity. Motivated by debugging https://bugzilla.redhat.com/show_bug.cgi?id=1842906
