User can shift our suggested schedule to complete past due assignments without losing any progress.

A workflow should exist for updating the dates of a course when they are in the past, allowing learners to Shift Dates from the course home page + course dates tabs.

Announcement about Shift due dates can locate in all tabs (Home, Video, Discussion, Dates)

As a learner, I should be able to update my course dates in case I have missed any deadlines.

In the case a learner has incomplete course content that is due on a past date, we need to show the “Shift Due Dates” dialog on the course home tab and dates tab so they can update their important course due dates.

If the dates are updated from the course home, we will show a default app snack bar (5 seconds hold one) letting the user know the dates have been updated and if they would like to view the new dates. Copy to be the same as the prod edX app.

Acceptance Criteria

  • Show prompt to update schedule if more than one course date is in the past or else do not show the prompt
  • Dates must be in sync with the web - in case the user updates the dates from the web

Design: Open edX Mobile App All Screens v2.0

ℹ️ Shift Dates dialogue design on course home is not available so we might have to experiment ourselves and share with the design team.
