What's the latest status on this?

I'm exploring potential ways the opentelemetry-operator could support OBI eBPF instrumentation. One of the possibilities is having the operator configure the required privileges; when a obi receiver is in the collector configuration.

At the moment a user would have to build their own custom collector image; if the obi receiver becomes part of the contrib image (or at least has it's own distro); that would be helpful.
