Official PyPi package?

There's currently a lot of packages that claim to be liboqs (like this)
I am wondering, if there's an official package on PyPi that's maintained by OQS project or friends?

We have issue #14 to track that. But it seems to have stalled, so I'll revive the discussion there.

@dstebila What made you change your opinion regarding this as stated in #14 (comment) ? Also, at the time of less rather than more contributions to the core OQS, are we willing to take on the added maintenance obligation that this brings? Would @chadsec1 or @ryjones be willing to act as maintainers of this (handle user inquiries, fix build and integration problems, raise and resolve upstream/consequent issues in liboqs, etc.) to alleviate the OQS core team of these tasks?

Well, that specific comment is from 2020. NIST has since released its standards.

One priority is to ensure that users aren't being mislead into thinking there is an official liboqs package when there isn't, so that's one of the goals of obtaining the relevant organization and package name. And then as for maintaining - yes, if we decide to publish to that then we will need someone committed to ongoing maintenance.
