  • Guy - Regular update on preview 2 implementation
    • Jco (https://github.com/bytecodealliance/jco) project - targeting comprehensive implementation of preview 2 on Node.js
    • published as preview2-shim on npm
    • collaborating with Microsoft on it.
    • goal is to preview of what a native implementation might look like
    • current implementation is layered on top of Node.js core APIs
    • Should be able to work anywhere you can run Node.js as well as other runtimes as they typically have compatibility layers
    • Conformance with Wasmtime test suite
  • Target for preview continues to be end of this year, beginning of 2024
  • Some feedback on spec, but mostly complete, feature freeze
  • Tomorrow is first vote on moving specs to phase 3
