Currently, if you load an improperly formatted config JSON, e.g. by adding
// commentsto it, then the log out put will say the file was not found, which is not necessarily true. This fixes that by displaying the correct error. It also shortcuts and returns when there's an error loading any config because that causes a fatal exit anyway
