Text lines ending in some special characters lose newline on open

Description with steps to reproduce

1. Open a new file
2. Add a text or vertical frame
3. Add text, or edit the text frame, and enter a line of text; finish the line with an elision symbol from the special characters dialogue
4. Add a newline, and type more text
5. Save the file; close it
6. Open the file; observe the newline has disappeared

(As you can see from my test, this isn't confined to the elision characters - I also used a crotchet note head and the same behaviour happens.)

Additional context

I'm using frames to enter lyrics of verses not present in the staves, and some lines end in elisions to indicate no breath should be taken. Every time I open these files, I have to put the newlines back before exporting to PDF or printing.

Similar to #19189, which has a pending fix #28522

Possibly - the line breaks are preserved where there is no symbol, so it might be the symbol tag ending the line that causes this.
