The new follow-up-evidence.json starts with a UTF-8 BOM (EF BB BF), which makes standard parsers fail when they read the file as UTF-8 and call JSON.parse/json.loads directly. In this repo, Node-based and Python-based tooling frequently parse JSON from disk using default UTF-8 decoding, so this file will break automation unless each consumer adds BOM-stripping logic.
