Essentially the ssh -D option, dynamic application level port forwarding.

I use it to set up basic tunnel encryption on wifi networks that I can use with my web browser.

We might end up adding a generic way to tunnel octet streams, for #41 and #120. That would be useful for implementing this feature.

Is there a way to set bounties for features/bugs in mosh?

You could try https://www.bountysource.com/teams/mosh/issues, but there are
no developers for the funds to go to.

I know that "+1" is a normal thing in social networks, however every time someone post one every one subscribed to this issue gets an update email.

Please if you would like to show your support for this feature but do not have the skills or time to help coding it use the subscribe button to show your support, not a "+1" comment.

this feature would be super useful, I am currently using Termux and ssh -D to create a local SOCKS5 proxy on my phone to tunnel traffic and avoid censorship, but network is unstable and ssh connection is lost from time to time with broken pipe,

came here looking for a way to keep the SOCKS5 proxy alive with mosh but it seems it is not possible :(

Perhaps Wireguard will serve you needs?

Has this been implemented?
