Requesting support for downloading grids, heroes, logos, or icons from SteamGridDB.
Public grids are SFW, but you need an account to access NSFW images as well.

Samples:
Grids (Helltaker)
Heroes (Portal)
Logos (Yakuza)
Icons (Steam)

Also, it should be noticed that animated grids/heroes can be downloaded as "fake .pngs" that are compatible with Steam but have a different URL than the main download button, which downloads a .gif or .webp. It would be better if gallery-dl downloaded both of these files in case the user wants the .gif/webp version as well.

It appears that you can view NSFW assets by going to https://www.steamgriddb.com/filters and enabling "Show Adult Content" (which sets a userprefs=%7B%22adult%22%3A%20false%7D cookie).

Also, do you want to download individual assets (e.g. https://www.steamgriddb.com/grid/109323) and/or download a list of assets (e.g. https://www.steamgriddb.com/game/5259324/grids/1)? If the latter is included, how should the sorting options be used? Or would they be unimplemented and left to defaults?

I feel it would be better to download individual assets if an individual asset is linked, and a list if the entire category is linked. Also, it would be good if there was some config option to separate the NSFW from non-nsfw when downloading everything, using either a label in the filename or a separate folder), but I don't know for sure if that's possible. If not, just download it as normal. It would also be nice to have an option to download only animated assets.

How should sorting options be specified? Via configuration options?

Yeah, configuration options would probably be best.
