I admit, I don't exactly have the spare money to spend on a patreon for this, but it'd be nice to have the option

You could do development streams or sell merch or something. Just remember to make gallery-dl not download your patreon

I admire the effort you've put into a completely free project but we're long past the point of it deserving a donation button

In the past I've usually told people that this is just a hobby project and I didn't want any money involved in its development (e.g. #347 (comment)), but current times are rather complicated and a bit of extra support wouldn't hurt.

I've set up a ko-fi page and added a FUNDING.yml file for this github repo. Nothing involving a monthly subscription, though.

No interest in any of that at the moment. I also doubt my computer could handle any sort of live streaming.
