Describe the pull request

Update to latest stable version 1.17.2

Note: All features have passed with x86-windows.

Now it looks like 1.17.2 is unstable, we should wait for upstream to put it in the releases folder.

FWIW, it appears all 1.17.x releases will be snapshots (read: unstable). The next stable releases will be in the series 1.18.x
