bug: Failing local builds with newly cloned repo

Describe the Bug

For a newly cloned repository, this directory doesn't exist, and the build (make build / mise build) will fail at packaging step. This is preferred over js script editing as it doesn't introduce any breaking changes.

Steps to Reproduce

(with make / mise installed)

1. Clone the project: git clone git@github.com:menloresearch/jan.git
2. cd jan
3. Run make build or mise build

Thanks for flagging this! You're absolutely right. This seems to stem from an inconsistency in both our Makefile and mise.toml regarding the expected directory structure.

As a workaround, you can try running:

make build-tauri

or, if you're using mise:

mise run build-tauri

This should allow you to build from source without hitting the packaging error.

We'll review and patch this soon to make the build experience smoother. Really appreciate your contribution!

HI @Doko-Demo-Doa, We've just updated the Makefile and mise.toml in this PR to address the issue: #5846

If you pull the latest changes, you should now be able to run:

make build

or

mise run build

without any issues. Let us know if you run into anything else 🙌🙌
