portrait photos appear as landscape #12
Comments
Hi Panos, we tried to reproduce this but the photos are uploaded nicely in portrait and landscape format. Could you try to reproduce this and send a screenshot? |
this result is most likely when using an iOS phone camera as the orientation ID is inconsistent. reviewing the image on the same iPhone even shows the correct orientation ! The ability to rotate the image in the post may help. |
This started appearing constantly in a new MAZI Zone featuring only the Guestbook, which I deployed in Zurich. Four people already uploaded portrait photos that appeared in landscape format. Could you please check this, because it is really a blocking issue in this case? (I did a lot of effort to have this MAZI Zone installed permanently in a self-organized park in Zurich and having such a problem can be very embarrassing and discouraging for them to take care of the MAZI Zone) |
Hi all, Taking cognizance of this difficulty, I will try to resolve it these days, informing you of the progress. I hope it will be ready before the 27th of September. Thanks for your feedback. |
Hi Panos What input device was being used? was it Apple phone iOS or other? (see deckspace's comment from last year above). What size images have been uploaded? I have uploaded images between 150Kb and 3Mb and they are appearing in the right orientation. What format are the images? I have uploaded .jpg and .png Thanks! I will be exploring Guestbook in the next few days so I will continue to test. |
The problem appeared mostly with iphones and some androids, and images were taken directly to upload. |
I'll see if I can test on a range of phones in the Creeknet pilot and I'll let you know which versions work and which cause this error. |
When uploaded photos are in portrait format they appear as landscape
