I also see a similar warning with lots of other python tools, essentially the pkg_resources module which is part of setuptools is being deprecated, however lots of python tools do use it.

the python version actually isn't directly what throws the warning, it's the setuptools ecosystem, though using an older version of python should still fix this as older versions default to setuptools versions which don't throw the warning.

options could be to just pin the setuptools version to something lower than v67.3.0, such as 66.1.1, or simply use the intended modern options such as importlib.resources/importlib.metadata or the backports (importlib_resources/importlib_metadata) in case we want to still get security updates and other stuff
