Hi there,
I realize that it has been a while since you took a look at this code but I recently added a functioning function (pun intended) which easily prints a string to a series of linked 8x8 displays. It is merely an addition to your existing code base and does not delete or modify any pre-existing features. If you have any questions or concerns about the code or the modifications to the README, please let me know. I do hope that you choose to adopt this feature though as it has made my Arduino code much cleaner and much more user-friendly.
