fix: show SSH tmux mirror directories in Files - #22744
The Files panel shows no folder for an SSH tmux mirror because root resolution requires the managed SSH workspace configuration that mirrors never set. The resolver now reads the root from the workspace's owning tmux mirror: the mirror's SSH destination, port and identity, plus its ControlPath so Files reuses the authenticated master instead of opening a second login. Only trusted remote directory reports become the root, never the local cwd. The workspace owns the mirror link (remoteTmuxMirrorState.link: host plus a connected flag), the same @Observable plus changes() shape as cloudBindingState. The mirror sets it on attach, updates it on each control-connection transition and clears it on detach. Files subscribes to that one stream, so the root also refreshes on connect, reconnect and detach when the directory has not changed. The resolver stays a pure projection of workspace state. Mirror workspaces skip the full catalog projection scan: they are never restored, so projectedResources already holds their saved projections.
Fixes#22053. This covers the default SSH transport. ET mirrors stay unsupported because a live ET control stream does not prove that SSH can reach the host. Multiplexed mirrors (the beta single-session channel) also resolve a root; on a host that allows one session per connection the Files probe is refused and the panel shows the SSH error instead of a folder, which is still better than the empty panel.
Testing
cmuxTests/FileExplorerRemoteTmuxRootTests.swift is the regression. The test commit (7035fea) adds it. The fix commit (22beb8c) changes only the three Sources/ files; faf7a95, 750085f and 351708a merge main with scripts/merge-main.sh. d8347da follows CodeRabbit's Architecture Rethink and Algorithmic Complexity checks: it replaces the mirror's observer registry with the workspace-owned link and drops the catalog scan on the mirror path, with no behavior change. cd16354 and bdbcbc8 answer CodeRabbit's two Minor findings on 351708a, test first: on the mirror's disconnect edge the mirror drops its pane directories (and the window mirrors' copies), and an active-pane switch to a pane that has not reported a cwd clears the tab's directory instead of keeping the previous pane's folder. The reconnect reseed already queries every pane's pane_current_path, so the Files root returns with a fresh path. On the test commit the resolver still returns .none for a mirror workspace, so three tests fail: mirrorResolvesSSHRootWithoutManagedRemoteConfiguration, unreportedMirrorDirectoryNeverUsesLocalFallback and observationFollowsDirectoryAndConnectionChanges. The other two tests guard that a detached mirror or an ET mirror never falls back to local files and pass on both commits.
Focused command:
./scripts/test-unit.sh -derivedDataPath "$HOME/Library/Developer/Xcode/DerivedData/cmux-files-22053-tests" -only-testing:cmuxTests/FileExplorerRemoteTmuxRootTests test
Observed / Not run
On d8347da and again on the merged head 351708a (Xcode 26.3, macOS 15.7.9) the focused command passes: Test run with 5 tests in 1 suite passed. observationFollowsDirectoryAndConnectionChanges now awaits each applied root (with a one-minute time limit) because the link change arrives through the async stream. Removing the mirror's connected-flag update makes it fail on the time limit and also fails mirrorResolvesSSHRootWithoutManagedRemoteConfiguration. verify-local.py --swift-changed origin/main passes 7/7. An independent review subagent found no defects; its one suggestion (read the connection's live state rather than the callback argument) is in.
Ran python3 scripts/verify-local.py --swift-changed origin/main on faf7a95 with Xcode 26.3: PASSED: 7/7 selected checks ran (swift-syntax on the four changed Swift files, localization defaults, project normalization, app-source wiring, test wiring, remote-tmux waits, feature flags), exit 0.
Ran scripts/sync-test-wiring --check (ok), git diff --check (clean) and ./scripts/localize-changes --base origin/main (no new or changed keys, 11 catalogs, 9 locales, 0 parity errors).
Ran the focused command above with Xcode 26.3 (17C529) on macOS 15.7.9. On 7035fea (its base b4a1664 did not compile cmux-cli, so that run carried the one-line }() fix that main has since landed in CLI/CMUXCLI+CommandSuggestions.swift): Test run with 5 tests in 1 suite failed with 3 issues. mirrorResolvesSSHRootWithoutManagedRemoteConfiguration (line 24), unreportedMirrorDirectoryNeverUsesLocalFallback (line 48) and observationFollowsDirectoryAndConnectionChanges (line 83) each stopped at the #require that expects a .remoteSSH root; the other two tests passed. On faf7a95 (merged head, no overlay): Test run with 5 tests in 1 suite passed, all five tests.
On cd16354 the two new tests fail as intended: after beginReconnecting() the root still shows /home/dev/project, and after %window-pane-changed to an unreported pane it still shows /home/dev/first. On bdbcbc8 the focused command plus the five related remote-tmux suites (RemoteTmuxMirrorLayoutIdentityTests, RemoteTmuxMirrorSplitRoutingTests, RemoteTmuxPaneSeedTransportTests, RemoteTmuxReconnectAttemptTeardownTests, RemoteTmuxWindowMirrorFocusSeedTests) pass: Test run with 79 tests in 6 suites passed. Removing either fix line fails exactly its own test. The reconnect test drives reseedAfterReconnect() directly, as RemoteTmuxPaneSeedTransportTests does, and asserts that it queries pane 11's path; it does not run a real reattach. verify-local.py --swift-changed origin/main passes 7/7. An independent review subagent passed it; its two suggestions (also clear the window-mirror cwd cache, and skip tabs with nothing to clear so branch and PR metadata don't flicker) are in.
fce3b51 follows CodeRabbit's test nitpick on bdbcbc8: the pane-switch test now requires the SSH root to exist before checking its path is nil. d5ad262 merges main 42ed815 with scripts/merge-main.sh; on that head the same 79 tests in 6 suites pass and verify-local.py --swift-changed origin/main passes 7/7.
Accepted trade-offs from that review: between a reconnect and the first fresh path reply, the sidebar directory is blank and a new tmux window opens in the remote default directory instead of the pre-drop folder; if a pane's path query fails on a tmux without subscriptions, its tab stays blank rather than stale until the next report.
Dogfooded in a tagged Debug build of an earlier revision of this branch (73a4eea, which refreshed through a NotificationCenter post instead of the observer registry; the resolver and root behavior are unchanged) against a Linux host running tmux 3.2a: cmux ssh-tmux <host> attach <session> with the right sidebar closed, then opened Files. The panel showed ssh://<host>:<cwd> with the remote tree, and after cd src/app in the mirrored pane the root followed to the subfolder. Also checked on two existing multi-pane sessions on the same host. The screenshots below are from a throwaway session and a scratch project. None of the observer-registry revision, the workspace-link revision (d8347da) or the stale-directory fix (bdbcbc8) has been dogfooded; their refresh-on-connect and refresh-on-detach paths are covered by observationFollowsDirectoryAndConnectionChanges.
Changelog
Fixed: The Files panel can browse the selected remote directory in SSH tmux mirror workspaces.

SSH tmux mirror workspaces can resolve to remote Files roots using mirror connection details and trusted remote directory data. Workspace observations refresh when mirror state changes. Tests cover root resolution, state updates, disconnection, and detachment.

Layer / File(s)
Summary
Mirror link state and lifecycle Sources/WorkspaceRemoteTmuxMirrorState.swift, Sources/Workspace.swift, Sources/RemoteTmuxSessionMirror.swift, cmux.xcodeproj/project.pbxproj
Workspace state stores the mirror link and publishes revisions. The mirror sets the link at initialization, updates its connection status, clears the link on detachment, and clears pane directory data when needed.
The resolver uses an eligible SSH mirror link to construct an SSH Files root from connection details and trusted remote cwd. Tests cover resolution, unavailable roots, and missing or non-SSH mirror links.
Observation subscribes to mirror-state changes and refreshes while the same workspace remains attached. Tests cover directory and connection changes, disconnection, and detachment.

The SSH mirror Files changes are mergeable after normal checks. Adding the suggested pane-switch assertion would improve regression coverage; the suspected stale-directory callback race is prevented.

Full details: Title check
Explanation
The title "fix: show SSH tmux mirror directories in Files" names the main change. The changeset adds a resolver path that gives SSH tmux mirror workspaces a Files root from the mirror's trusted remote cwd, backed by a workspace-owned mirror link and its observation stream. The title is specific and matches the primary objective in the PR objectives.
Full details: Linked Issues check
Explanation
Issue #22053 requires SSH tmux mirror workspaces to show the Files panel at the selected pane's remote cwd and follow cwd changes. The current implementation resolves an SSH root from the owning mirror link, including destination, port, identity, ControlPath, trusted remote cwd, and connection state. The mirror link updates on attach, connection transitions, and detach. FileExplorerWorkspaceObservation refreshes from remoteTmuxMirrorState.changes(). Disconnect and active-pane changes clear stale directory data. The regression suite covers root resolution, no local fallback, observation, reconnect clearing, and active-pane selection. The reported focused suite passes with five tests on the merged head.
Full details: Out of Scope Changes check
Explanation
The changed production files directly implement issue #22053. The resolver adds the SSH mirror root and avoids the catalog scan for mirror workspaces. Workspace and mirror state provide the required link and change stream. Mirror connection and pane-directory updates maintain current root data. Observation refreshes Files on link changes. The added tests and Xcode project wiring support this behavior. ET mirrors remain excluded as required by the issue scope. No unrelated change is demonstrated.
Full details: Cmux Cloud Persistent Session And Early Input
Explanation
PASS. The diff adds SSH tmux mirror ownership and Files-root observation only. It does not create Cloud terminals, spawn cmux-tui clients or physical transports, gate a manual renderer on PTY or shell readiness, alter input ownership, or change Cloud auth, idempotency, revision, snapshot, or lease fences. The new AsyncStream is an in-process mirror-state notification, and the existing tmux connection is reused.
Full details: Cmux Swift Actor Isolation
Explanation
No actor-isolation failure is introduced. The new mutable observable store is explicitly @MainActor (WorkspaceRemoteTmuxMirrorState), and all new store accesses occur from @MainActor production types or an explicitly Task { @MainActor }. RemoteTmuxSessionMirror and the Files resolver/observer are also @MainActor. RemoteTmuxMirrorLink is an unisolated value struct, not a shared mutable reference or service protocol. The changed production code adds no unisolated Sendable mutable reference type and no background access to the UI-bound store.
Full details: Cmux Swift Blocking Runtime
Explanation
The production diff adds actor-isolated AsyncStream signaling and Task cancellation in FileExplorerWorkspaceObservation.swift and WorkspaceRemoteTmuxMirrorState.swift. It adds no semaphores, blocking waits, sleeps, delayed dispatch, main-queue sync, polling, or manual locks. The new bounded command loop and one-minute time limit are test-only scaffolding in cmuxTests/FileExplorerRemoteTmuxRootTests.swift, which the check allows.
Full details: Cmux Browser Automation Off-Main
Explanation
The pull request does not change browser socket automation. Its diff only covers tmux mirror state, Files root resolution, project wiring, and related tests. The rule target files Sources/TerminalController.swift and Packages/macOS/CmuxControlSocket/Sources/CmuxControlSocket/Wire/ControlCommandExecutionPolicy.swift are unchanged, and no added diff lines contain browser automation routes or waits.
Full details: Cmux Expensive Synchronous Load
Explanation
The pull request does not add or move an expensive synchronous agent-history load. The changed production Swift code adds mirror-link state, root projection, directory-cache clearing, and an AsyncStream observer. It contains no RestorableAgentSessionIndex.load(), transcript/trajectory/workstream JSONL loading, broad directory scan, per-record syscall, or large JSON parsing on a main-actor or interactive path.
Full details: Cmux Cache Substitution Correctness
Explanation
PASS: The diff does not replace a fresh read in a persistence, history, undo, or snapshot path. The new remoteTmuxMirrorState is runtime Files ownership state with an event-driven changes() stream, and cwdByPane is a transient UI projection cache. The mirror clears cached directories on disconnect and clears the tab directory when the active pane has no cached report. The projectedResources shortcut is documented in the Files root resolver and only affects runtime root resolution; no changed code makes a persistence or snapshot consumer trust a cold or stale cache.
Full details: Cmux No Hacky Sleeps
Explanation
PASS: The pull request changes only Swift source/tests and Xcode project wiring. The only non-Swift file is cmux.xcodeproj/project.pbxproj, which adds Swift file references and build-phase entries. No changed TypeScript, JavaScript, shell, or non-Swift build/runtime script introduces a fixed sleep, timer, polling loop, or wall-clock wait. Swift timing is outside this check's scope.
Full details: Cmux Algorithmic Complexity
Explanation
The production changes do not introduce a prohibited complexity pattern. forgetPaneDirectories() performs linear passes over mirror panes and panel IDs, with dictionary/set lookups. WorkspaceRemoteTmuxMirrorState.linkDidChange() performs one pass over its subscribers and does not nest scans over user records. The resolver explicitly skips the catalog projection scan for tmux mirrors. No per-workspace nested scan, repeated sorting/filtering, or slower-than-linear algorithm was introduced.
Full details: Cmux Swift Concurrency
Explanation
PASS. The diff adds no background Dispatch work, Combine state, or new completion-handler API. The new mirror observation uses a stored Task that is cancelled in stop() and deinit. The only unstored Task is the AsyncStream.onTermination actor-isolation cleanup hop, matching the existing WorkspaceCloudBindingState implementation. Tests use async/await and AsyncStream.
Full details: Cmux Swift `@Concurrent`
Explanation
Pass. The Swift diff adds no nonisolated async or @concurrent declarations. The new Task loops in FileExplorerWorkspaceObservation and the cleanup task in WorkspaceRemoteTmuxMirrorState explicitly use @MainActor for UI-bound state observation. The new state methods are synchronous and actor-isolated. Resolver and mirror changes perform synchronous state projection only; no new CPU-, file-, or network-heavy async helper is called from UI isolation.
Full details: Cmux Swift Package Boundaries
Explanation
No package-boundary violation is introduced. The changed production code is app-lifecycle composition: RemoteTmuxSessionMirror updates workspace-owned state, FileExplorerWorkspaceObservation observes it, and FileExplorerWorkspaceRootResolver projects an app Workspace and catalog into Files state. The new WorkspaceRemoteTmuxMirrorState depends on the app’s RemoteTmuxHost and is used only by this workspace/Files path. It is not reusable domain logic for another surface, and the remaining changes are workspace, AppKit, and Files integration glue.
Full details: Cmux Swiftpm Lockfiles
Explanation
PASS. The PR changes Swift sources, tests, and Xcode source-file references only. It does not change a Package.swift dependency, any .gitignore policy, or an Xcode SwiftPM package reference. Therefore, no package-local or root Xcode Package.resolved diff is required.
Full details: Cmux Swift Logging
Explanation
PASS — The pull-request diff adds no print, debugPrint, dump, NSLog, Logger, stdout/stderr, or ad hoc diagnostic file logging in production Swift code. The changed runtime files only add state, observation, and directory-resolution behavior. The only /tmp matches are test fixture paths, which are allowed.
Full details: Cmux User-Facing Error Privacy
Explanation
The production diff adds no user-facing error text, alerts, command output, or recovery copy that exposes implementation details. The new mirror root passes unavailableDetail: nil, so the Files UI uses the generic localized SSH files unavailable status. The new displayTarget is the user-supplied SSH destination, which is allowed. Added comments and tests are not user-facing.
Full details: Cmux Full Internationalization
Explanation
PASS — The PR changes Swift state, resolver, mirror behavior, project wiring, and tests only. The added Swift text is developer documentation or test diagnostics; no new user-facing literal is introduced. The resolver reuses existing localized UI paths and uses protocol/config data such as ControlPath, which is exempt. The diff adds no string-catalog, plist, web, metadata, changelog, or rendered-user-content changes.
Full details: Cmux Swiftui State Layout
Explanation
The pull request does not introduce a prohibited SwiftUI state or layout pattern. The new mirror state is an @MainActor@Observable class with value link state and an AsyncStream; it does not add ObservableObject, @Published, @StateObject, or @EnvironmentObject. The diff adds no GeometryReader, lazy/list row store reference, or render-time state mutation. Workspace.swift only adds this modern state model to the existing Workspace; no SwiftUI view boundary changes.
Full details: Cmux Architecture Rethink
Explanation
Pass. The diff uses real connection-state transitions, not sleeps, delayed dispatch, polling, locks, or blocking waits. WorkspaceRemoteTmuxMirrorState is a workspace-owned model with a documented attach/update/detach invariant. FileExplorerWorkspaceObservation remains the single owner of root application and refreshes through the existing refresh() path. The async stream mirrors the existing WorkspaceCloudBindingState pattern, and the mirror owns the lifecycle updates and cleanup. The added directory-cache clearing is a local correction in the existing mirror owner.
Full details: Cmux Swift Auxiliary Window Close Shortcuts
Explanation
The pull request adds or changes workspace, tmux mirror, Files resolver, observation, state, and test code. The authoritative diff contains no user-visible NSWindow, NSPanel, NSWindowController, SwiftUI Window, or WindowGroup code, and no close-shortcut or auxiliary-window identifier changes. The auxiliary-window rule is therefore not applicable.
Full details: Cmux Source Artifacts
Explanation
All seven changed paths are intentional Swift source, a Swift test, or Xcode project wiring. The new test is a registered regression test and uses only fixture values; it does not add logs, screenshots, caches, build output, or artifact directories. No hidden scratch or broad artifact directory appears in the diff.
Full details: Cmux No Test Or Debug Seam In Production Source
Explanation
The production Swift diff adds mirror state and observation used by FileExplorerWorkspaceObservation, FileExplorerWorkspaceRootResolver, and RemoteTmuxSessionMirror. It adds no #if DEBUG test-only member, debug/test seam name, or visibility-widening wrapper. Existing debug/test seams in Workspace.swift are unchanged. The new test hooks are confined to cmuxTests/, which is exempt.
Full details: Description check
Explanation
The description is thorough and covers the template's Summary, Testing, Changelog, and Proof sections. The Summary explains the problem (Files panel shows no folder for SSH tmux mirrors), the mechanism (resolver reads root from the owning mirror's SSH destination, port, identity, and ControlPath; workspace-owned link with changes() stream), and scope (default SSH transport; ET mirrors unsupported; multiplexed mirrors partially supported). It links issue #22053 with Fixes. Testing names the focused command, separates tests added from tests executed, and includes an 'Observed / Not run' subsection as the bug-fix template requires. Changelog is provided in the required Fixed: format. Proof includes screenshots for the user-visible change. Checklist items are not addressed explicitly (for example, localization audit and socket allowlisting are reported as checked in part, and iOS soak coverage is not mentioned), and the description contains a lot of commit-by-commit history and review-round narrative that the template's proportionality guidance discourages. These are non-critical gaps, so the description is mostly complete.

The Files root resolver reads the owning tmux mirror's SSH host and
ControlPath, and only trusted remote directory reports become the root.
The mirror keeps a typed observer registry so the Files observation
re-projects it after every connection transition and on detach, with no
NotificationCenter side channel.

Hi @austinywang, gentle ping on this one. It has been open for about a week without a reviewer.
It fixes #22053: the Files panel now shows the remote directory for SSH tmux mirror workspaces, reusing the mirror's SSH ControlPath so it does not open a second login.
The branch is behind main but GitHub reports no conflicts. I'm happy to merge main or rework the approach if that makes review easier. Thanks!

Files observed a second, mirror-owned callback registry for connection
changes and needed a synthetic notification on detach. The workspace now
owns one `remoteTmuxMirrorState.link` (host plus connected flag) that the
mirror sets on attach, updates on each control-connection transition and
clears on detach. Files subscribes to its `changes()` stream, the same shape
as `cloudBindingState`, and the resolver reads the link instead of the
mirror. Mirror workspaces also skip the full catalog projection scan,
because they are never restored and `projectedResources` already holds
their saved projections.

The new root tests write the directory directly to Workspace. A regression in the pane-cwd route would leave them passing. That route runs from subscriptionChanged through emitPaneCwd to RemoteTmuxSessionMirror.handlePaneCwd.
Add a test that sends .subscriptionChanged(name: "cmux_cwd_<paneId>", value: "/home/dev/project") through fixture.connection.handleMessageForTesting. Then assert the resolved .remoteSSH path.
The fixture has no tmux layout. handlePaneCwd returns before it updates the workspace when the pane has no tab panel or is not the window's active pane. Seed the layout and active pane first, with .layoutChange and .windowPaneChanged. The existing mirror tests use the same messages for this.
Test outline
+ @Test func paneCwdSubscriptionUpdatesRemoteRoot() throws {+ let fixture = Fixture()+ defer { fixture.tearDown() }+ // Seed the window and active pane so handlePaneCwd reaches the workspace update.+ fixture.connection.handleMessageForTesting(.enter)+ // ... layoutChange and windowPaneChanged seeding, as in RemoteTmuxMirrorTargetingTests ...+ fixture.connection.handleMessageForTesting(+ .subscriptionChanged(name: "cmux_cwd_<paneId>", value: "/home/dev/project")+ )+ // Assert the resolved .remoteSSH path is "/home/dev/project".+ }

sshRoot returns nil for any root that is not .remoteSSH, including .none. For a .remoteSSH root with a nil path, it returns a tuple whose path is nil. The line-129 check sshRoot(harness.workspace)?.path == nil is therefore true in both cases. A regression that withdraws the SSH root while the newly selected pane has no reported directory would still pass this test. The later assertion runs only after the new directory is reported, so it does not cover that interval. The sibling reconnect test avoids this gap because its available == false check fails on a nil root.

Review comment at @cmuxTests/FileExplorerRemoteTmuxRootTests.swift at line 129:
In the pane-switch test, update the assertions after handleMessageForTesting to
first verify that sshRoot(harness.workspace) is non-nil, then check that its
path is nil. This distinguishes an existing SSH root without a reported path
from a missing root.

Hi @austinywang, following up on this one since it has been quiet for a while. When there's room in the queue, could someone approve the CI run and take a look?
It fixes #22053 (auto-triaged S2: major): the Files panel doesn't show the remote filesystem in SSH tmux mirror workspaces.
Since my last ping I reworked it around a workspace-owned mirror link, fixed stale directories after a reconnect or pane switch, and merged main at d5ad262. GitHub reports no conflicts. The focused tests pass locally. The latest revisions haven't been dogfooded yet; details are under Observed / Not run.
Maintainer edits are enabled, so feel free to push to the branch directly. Thanks!

Summary
The Files panel shows no folder for an SSH tmux mirror because root resolution requires the managed SSH workspace configuration that mirrors never set. The resolver now reads the root from the workspace's owning tmux mirror: the mirror's SSH destination, port and identity, plus its ControlPath so Files reuses the authenticated master instead of opening a second login. Only trusted remote directory reports become the root, never the local cwd. The workspace owns the mirror link (
remoteTmuxMirrorState.link: host plus a connected flag), the same@Observablepluschanges()shape ascloudBindingState. The mirror sets it on attach, updates it on each control-connection transition and clears it on detach. Files subscribes to that one stream, so the root also refreshes on connect, reconnect and detach when the directory has not changed. The resolver stays a pure projection of workspace state. Mirror workspaces skip the full catalog projection scan: they are never restored, soprojectedResourcesalready holds their saved projections.Fixes #22053.
Testing
cmuxTests/FileExplorerRemoteTmuxRootTests.swiftis the regression. The test commit (7035fea) adds it. The fix commit (22beb8c) changes only the threeSources/files; faf7a95, 750085f and 351708a merge main withscripts/merge-main.sh. d8347da follows CodeRabbit's Architecture Rethink and Algorithmic Complexity checks: it replaces the mirror's observer registry with the workspace-owned link and drops the catalog scan on the mirror path, with no behavior change. cd16354 and bdbcbc8 answer CodeRabbit's two Minor findings on 351708a, test first: on the mirror's disconnect edge the mirror drops its pane directories (and the window mirrors' copies), and an active-pane switch to a pane that has not reported a cwd clears the tab's directory instead of keeping the previous pane's folder. The reconnect reseed already queries every pane'spane_current_path, so the Files root returns with a fresh path. On the test commit the resolver still returns.nonefor a mirror workspace, so three tests fail:mirrorResolvesSSHRootWithoutManagedRemoteConfiguration, unreportedMirrorDirectoryNeverUsesLocalFallbackandobservationFollowsDirectoryAndConnectionChanges. The other two tests guard that a detached mirror or an ET mirror never falls back to local files and pass on both commits.Focused command:
Observed / Not run
Test run with 5 tests in 1 suite passed.observationFollowsDirectoryAndConnectionChangesnow awaits each applied root (with a one-minute time limit) because the link change arrives through the async stream. Removing the mirror's connected-flag update makes it fail on the time limit and also failsmirrorResolvesSSHRootWithoutManagedRemoteConfiguration.verify-local.py --swift-changed origin/mainpasses 7/7. An independent review subagent found no defects; its one suggestion (read the connection's live state rather than the callback argument) is in.python3 scripts/verify-local.py --swift-changed origin/mainon faf7a95 with Xcode 26.3:PASSED: 7/7 selected checks ran(swift-syntax on the four changed Swift files, localization defaults, project normalization, app-source wiring, test wiring, remote-tmux waits, feature flags), exit 0.scripts/sync-test-wiring --check(ok),git diff --check(clean) and./scripts/localize-changes --base origin/main(no new or changed keys, 11 catalogs, 9 locales, 0 parity errors).cmux-cli, so that run carried the one-line}()fix that main has since landed inCLI/CMUXCLI+CommandSuggestions.swift):Test run with 5 tests in 1 suite failed with 3 issues.mirrorResolvesSSHRootWithoutManagedRemoteConfiguration(line 24),unreportedMirrorDirectoryNeverUsesLocalFallback(line 48) andobservationFollowsDirectoryAndConnectionChanges(line 83) each stopped at the#requirethat expects a.remoteSSHroot; the other two tests passed. On faf7a95 (merged head, no overlay):Test run with 5 tests in 1 suite passed, all five tests.beginReconnecting()the root still shows/home/dev/project, and after%window-pane-changedto an unreported pane it still shows/home/dev/first. On bdbcbc8 the focused command plus the five related remote-tmux suites (RemoteTmuxMirrorLayoutIdentityTests,RemoteTmuxMirrorSplitRoutingTests,RemoteTmuxPaneSeedTransportTests,RemoteTmuxReconnectAttemptTeardownTests,RemoteTmuxWindowMirrorFocusSeedTests) pass:Test run with 79 tests in 6 suites passed. Removing either fix line fails exactly its own test. The reconnect test drivesreseedAfterReconnect()directly, asRemoteTmuxPaneSeedTransportTestsdoes, and asserts that it queries pane 11's path; it does not run a real reattach.verify-local.py --swift-changed origin/mainpasses 7/7. An independent review subagent passed it; its two suggestions (also clear the window-mirror cwd cache, and skip tabs with nothing to clear so branch and PR metadata don't flicker) are in.scripts/merge-main.sh; on that head the same 79 tests in 6 suites pass andverify-local.py --swift-changed origin/mainpasses 7/7.cmux ssh-tmux <host> attach <session>with the right sidebar closed, then opened Files. The panel showedssh://<host>:<cwd>with the remote tree, and aftercd src/appin the mirrored pane the root followed to the subfolder. Also checked on two existing multi-pane sessions on the same host. The screenshots below are from a throwaway session and a scratch project. None of the observer-registry revision, the workspace-link revision (d8347da) or the stale-directory fix (bdbcbc8) has been dogfooded; their refresh-on-connect and refresh-on-detach paths are covered byobservationFollowsDirectoryAndConnectionChanges.Changelog
Fixed: The Files panel can browse the selected remote directory in SSH tmux mirror workspaces.
