Summary

A signed-in, non-anonymous user whose verified primary email is on cmux.com, manaflow.ai, or manaflow.com is now on the Team plan by default and can run any number of Cloud machines.

  • web/services/billing/companyPlan.ts: hasCompanyPlanGrant reuses the admin gate (isAdminUser): exact domain match, verified email required, anonymous refused.
  • web/services/vms/entitlements.ts: such a user resolves to plan team (max stays max), maxActiveVms: null, and resourcePool: null. That means no active-machine cap and no shared vCPU/memory pool. team is not a budget plan, so the monthly Pro/Max compute and storage allowance does not apply.
  • web/services/vms/auth.ts: AuthedUser now carries primaryEmailVerified from the Stack user. Identity snapshots do not store it, so a snapshot-served request fails closed and gets no grant.
  • web/services/billing/pro.ts: personal plan status shows pro instead of free for these users when no subscription grants more.

Machine size is unchanged: Team still stops at the 8 vCPU / 16 GB row. Max-only sizes still need Max.

Verification

On a Freestyle VM (only web/ synced):

  • bun test for vm-pro-gate, billing-max-plan, billing-pro, admin-access, vm-auth-identity, vm-auth-snapshot, vm-auth-cache, account-me-orpc, apple-iap-precedence: 89 pass, 1 fail. The failing test compares against spec files outside web/, which were not synced.
  • tsgo --noEmit: no errors in changed files. The 3 errors are in tests that import ../../workers/, which was not synced.
  • Complexity gate on the changed files: 0 findings.

No new tests were added, by the project rule against unit tests. Real verification: on the dev backend, sign in with a verified company email and create more than 5 machines.

Review

The review subagent hit API rate limits twice. The manual review checked:

  • A null cap goes through create, resume, resize, and fork without a 5-machine fallback. The callers pass entitlements.maxActiveVms explicitly.
  • Known side effect: on a shared billing team, staff machines count toward the active count that capped non-staff teammates see.

Changelog

Changed: Accounts with a verified cmux company email are on the Team plan with no Cloud machine limit.

Summary by cubic

Users with a verified company email (cmux.com, manaflow.ai, manaflow.com) are now on the Team plan by default and can run any number of Cloud machines. Previously they had no such grant.

  • The gate reuses the admin check: the primary email must be exact-domain, verified, and the user must not be anonymous; unverified addresses never qualify.
  • Team stays Team, Max stays Max; machine sizes are unchanged (Team stops at 8 vCPU / 16 GB).
  • The personal plan status now reports pro instead of free for these users when no subscription grants more.
  • Identity snapshots do not carry email verification, so requests served from a snapshot fail closed and get no grant.

Summary by CodeRabbit

  • New Features
    • Eligible company-plan members can now access Pro features, with Team access by default and Max access retained when applicable.
    • Company-plan access removes the standard active-VM limit and resource-pool restriction.
    • Billing and team details continue to apply to company-plan access.

A signed-in user with a verified cmux.com, manaflow.ai, or manaflow.com
primary email resolves to the Team VM plan (Max stays Max) with no
active-machine cap and no shared vCPU/memory pool, and to Pro in the
personal plan status when no subscription grants more.

Review in Change Stack →

📝 Walkthrough

The change adds a company-plan grant check and uses it when resolving Pro plan status and VM entitlements. User data types also add optional email-verification fields, and Stack verification maps to true only when Stack reports true.

Changes: Company plan grant handling

Layer / File(s) Summary
Grant helper and user data
web/services/billing/companyPlan.ts, web/services/vms/auth.ts, web/services/billing/pro.ts
hasCompanyPlanGrant delegates to isAdminUser. The authentication and reconciliation user types add optional email-verification fields. The Stack mapping sets primaryEmailVerified to true only when Stack reports true.
Apply grants to plans and entitlements
web/services/billing/pro.ts, web/services/vms/entitlements.ts
When the computed personal plan is free, a company-plan grant changes the resolved Pro plan to pro. VM entitlement resolution returns Max when the normalized billing plan is Max, and Team otherwise. Both maxActiveVms and resourcePool are null for granted users.

Full details: Description check

Explanation

The description clearly explains the problem, resulting behavior, implementation details, verification results, known side effect, and changelog entry. It uses a Verification heading instead of Testing and omits the formal Proof and Checklist sections, but the required substance is mostly present.

Full details: Cmux Cloud Persistent Session And Early Input

Explanation

PASS. The PR changes company-plan eligibility, billing status, identity fields, and VM entitlements only. It does not add or alter cmux-tui clients, transports, PTY/shell readiness, manual renderers, input routing, snapshots, revisions, attachment leases, or event handling. The new grant reuses isAdminUser, which requires a non-anonymous user and verified exact company-domain email. No stated persistent-session or early-input failure condition is introduced.

Full details: Cmux Browser Automation Off-Main

Explanation

PASS. The authoritative diff changes only web billing, VM entitlement, and authentication files. It contains no browser socket automation commands, WebKit/AppKit routing, socket-worker policy changes, or related policy tests. Therefore the browser-automation off-main failure conditions are not applicable.

Full details: Cmux Expensive Synchronous Load

Explanation

PASS: The pull request changes only four TypeScript files under web/ (companyPlan.ts, pro.ts, auth.ts, and entitlements.ts). It adds no Swift code or synchronous agent-history load, so this Swift-specific check is not applicable.

Full details: Cmux Cache Substitution Correctness

Explanation

The diff does not replace a fresh authoritative read with a cached value in a persistence, history, undo, or snapshot path. primaryEmailVerified is populated from Stack. Identity snapshots omit this field, so snapshot-served users fail closed. The existing native-auth cache falls back to Stack on a miss and uses a 30-second expiry, which handles cold and bounded-stale values.

Full details: Cmux No Hacky Sleeps

Explanation

PASS. The pull request changes only billing, authentication, and VM entitlement logic. The added code contains no fixed sleeps, timers, polling, delayed dispatch, wall-clock waits, or retry timing. The diff therefore does not violate runtime-no-hacky-sleeps.md.

Full details: Cmux Algorithmic Complexity

Explanation

PASS. The diff adds scalar grant checks and metadata fields. hasCompanyPlanGrant delegates to isAdminUser; its only collection operation is includes over the fixed three-entry ADMIN_EMAIL_DOMAINS list. The entitlement change does not add a scalable scan, nested scan, sorting, filtering, join, or batch rescan. The existing user.teams.find remains unchanged and is not worsened by this diff.

Full details: Cmux Swiftpm Lockfiles

Explanation

PASS. The pull request changes only four TypeScript files under web/services/{billing,vms}. It changes no Package.swift, Package.resolved, Xcode project, .gitignore, workflow, or dependency file. The SwiftPM lockfile rule is therefore not applicable.

Full details: Cmux User-Facing Error Privacy

Explanation

PASS. The pull request changes plan entitlement logic and identity fields only. Added text is source documentation/comments, and the added branches return plan data; they do not add or modify user-facing errors, alerts, command output, API error bodies, or recovery copy. Existing error strings in the touched files are unchanged. No privacy violation is introduced under the stated rule.

Full details: Cmux Full Internationalization

Explanation

The diff changes billing and entitlement logic only. It adds no Swift text, web UI copy, API error copy, metadata label, rendered markdown, changelog file, or localization key. The added prose is in developer comments, which the rule allows. The changed free/pro/team values and primaryEmailVerified field are internal/protocol entitlement data, not user-facing text, and the rule allows literal protocol tokens. No locale or message updates are required.

Full details: Cmux Swift Auxiliary Window Close Shortcuts

Explanation

The pull request changes only four TypeScript files under web/services. The reviewed diff contains no Swift changes and no NSWindow, NSPanel, NSWindowController, SwiftUI Window, or WindowGroup code. The auxiliary-window close-shortcut rule is not applicable.

Full details: Cmux Source Artifacts

Explanation

All four changed paths are intentional TypeScript service source files under web/services. The diff adds or updates billing, authentication, and VM entitlement logic. No logs, screenshots, caches, temp directories, dependency checkouts, build output, or broad scratch directories enter source control.

Full details: Cmux No Test Or Debug Seam In Production Source

Explanation

PASS: The pull request changes only four TypeScript files under web/. It changes no Swift file under a production Sources/ path, so the specified production test/debug seam check is not applicable.

🎯 Functional Correctness | 🟡 Minor | ⚡ Quick win

Promote eligible Go subscribers to Pro status.

If an eligible user has an active Go subscription, personalPlanIdForStatus returns "go". This condition promotes only "free", so resolveProPlanStatus reports Go instead of the required Pro status. Promote plans below Pro while preserving Pro and Max.

As per the PR objective, “Personal plan status shows Pro when no subscription grants more.”

… as classic Cloud does (#26817)

* Cloud plan entitlements honour cmuxVmPlan and company account grants, as classic Cloud does

NEXT Cloud read only cmuxPlan, so operator grants (cmuxVmPlan) and verified
company-domain accounts (classic #21276) got no machines. CloudDO now reads
cmuxVmPlan through TeamDO (cached, last copy kept on failure) and applies
classic's precedence; a verified company account's personal team is Team (Max
for a Max owner) with no machine cap. Machine limits only: the model router's
paid gate and billing keep reading cmuxPlan.
