…g the turn Ported from upstream manaflow-ai#20262 (063a134): "fix: keep Claude idle after helper PreToolUse follows Stop (manaflow-ai#20262)". Adapted: the fork's Claude handlers write through upsert, not recordPromptStop/recordPromptSubmit, so turnSettled is set by the Stop upsert (true) and the UserPromptSubmit upsert (false) and checked first in pre-tool-use. Tests rewritten for the fork: pending background work stays .running/Running here (upstream: backgroundWorkPending/Waiting), and upstream's journal capture and live-delivery harness are not in the fork.

Summary
Claude Code can run a background helper after the parent turn emits
Stop. If that helper emitsPreToolUse, cmux previously treated it as a new parent turn and persisted the session as Running. The hook now persists a settled-turn fence inClaudeHookSessionRecord, preserves it across post-Stop notifications, and clears it atomically at the next acceptedUserPromptSubmitbefore normal tool activity resumes.Validation
