The branch now includes main I added separate regression commits before the behavior repair. Both sleep/wake notification tests fail on The follow-up repairs publish sleep/wake invalidation synchronously, guard inspector promotion/reapply during a drag, retain synchronous navigation and context-menu capture ordering, and remove unrelated script/input deferrals that review found could violate existing contracts. The package run also exposed watchdog coordination tests racing a real one-second deadline; those now use the existing injected timing seam, while timeout tests keep their timeout assertions. The repair commits are prepared locally while the pre-repair native test run finishes, so its failure evidence is preserved. I will push them, post the final review/test receipts, and merge only after the final head's relevant CI passes. |

Summary
Mitigates the browser executor-check crashes reported in #17491 by making selected synchronous AppKit/WebKit overrides nonisolated and moving deferred observer work onto
MainActor. AppKit still owns the views on the main thread. Synchronous navigation, certificate cancellation, context-menu capture, drag-routing, and window-key notification contracts are preserved.Portal geometry notifications invalidate the divider cache before the next hit test, while actor-owned cleanup runs later. Sleep/wake notifications likewise publish discard eligibility and invalidate the timer generation immediately. Inspector promotion and layout reapply stop while a divider drag is active. Scripted-download callbacks use a locked routing snapshot refreshed when REPL ownership changes.
The issue's
swift_task_isMainExecutorImplstacks involve layer-tree updates, first-responder routing, and hit testing. The exact reporter crash on macOS 26.1/27.0 has not been reproduced; these changes and regressions establish callback behavior, not proof that every reported crash is eliminated.
