While
isApplyingSessionRestoreis true, the startup-save guard blocks this non-scrollback save.completeSessionRestoreOperationthen clears that flag, whiledidAttemptStartupSessionRestoreis already true. A timer tick can therefore run immediately afterward, pass a freshresumeIndexes.surfaceResumeBindingIndex, and persist removal of a restored process-detected tmux binding when detection is still absent. The completion save’spreserveRestoredProcessDetectedBindingsflag protects only that save.Apply the same bounded preservation rule to the autosave path. Release it only after positive process observation or the defined settle condition. The coding guideline requires a clear invariant and source of truth, but does not require moving this policy into
ProcessDetectedResumeIndexes; a caller-specific guard is valid if it covers every writer in the settle window.🤖 Prompt for AI Agents

Failing regression tests for two review findings on #12810: a restored process-detected binding with no launch stays armed forever, and an incomplete windowless recovery scan retries without bound or backoff. Co-Authored-By: Claude Opus 5.5 <noreply@anthropic.com>
A restored process-detected binding stayed armed until a positive detection or a prompt transition. With no queued launch neither arrives, so a stale binding survived every empty scan and was re-armed on every relaunch. Observation now expires after a restore window, after which the binding retires exactly as it did before this PR. An incomplete or timed-out windowless recovery scan rescheduled itself with no bound or backoff, so an undecodable hook store or a slow process table drove back-to-back full scans while the route stayed orphaned. Retries now back off exponentially and stop after five; the quit and power-off saves still freeze or persist the route. Co-Authored-By: Claude Opus 5.5 <noreply@anthropic.com>
Main's Sources use BonsplitContrastPalette and TabPresence from Bonsplit 83857fa (set by the shared-terminal sizing merge ece9ea8). #15747 (7d246ed) rewound the pointer to b32f48b, which lacks them, so main no longer compiles. 83857fa is on Bonsplit main and contains b32f48b. Co-Authored-By: Claude Opus 5.5 <noreply@anthropic.com>
Restored terminals spawn through a paced queue and only once their view is in a window, so a binding in an unviewed workspace can run its restore command long after restore. Arming the 300 s window at restore could retire it before its command ever ran. The observation now preserves while the runtime has not spawned and starts its window at spawn, measured on the suspending clock so machine sleep does not consume it. Co-Authored-By: Claude Opus 5.5 <noreply@anthropic.com>
Main's UpdateRelaunchAgentResumeTests builds ProcessDetectedResumeIndexes without the isFresh field this PR added; the pre-relaunch capture is a fresh scan. Read mutating observation results outside #expect, which cannot call mutating members. Co-Authored-By: Claude Opus 5.5 <noreply@anthropic.com>

Problem
Session restore/autosave could mutate queued agent lifecycle state during snapshot projection, erase process-detected SSH/tmux bindings before their startup command ran, or synchronously perform process and hook-store work on the main actor. Windowless route freezing could also act on stale/incomplete ownership information.
