The aggregate diff from origin/main contains only icon-rendering changes, SwiftUI views, AppKit image rendering, and tests. It adds or changes no user-visible NSWindow, NSPanel, NSWindowController, Window, or WindowGroup, and it adds no cmux.* window identifier. Greptile SummaryThis PR routes Vault/sidebar and Task Manager SF Symbols through the shared AppKit-materialized renderer and adds regression coverage for visible pixels and last-good-image preservation.
Confidence Score: 4/5The global font-magnification regression should be fixed before merging so the converted Vault and Task Manager icons continue honoring the user’s accessibility setting. The renderer replacement addresses blank symbols, but every converted call site selects the initializer that fixes raster size even though the removed font modifier scaled those icons from the configured global magnification percentage. Global icon magnification is dropped
When global font magnification differs from 100%, these replacements use the non-magnifying CmuxSystemSymbolImage initializer while the removed .cmuxFont path honored that setting, causing Vault and Task Manager icons to remain at their base sizes while adjacent text and controls scale.

Replacement note: this PR supersedes #4480 after rebasing the two icon fix commits onto current origin/main. The existing CmuxAppKitSupportUI renderer remains the single owner; this diff only routes the remaining Vault/Task icon call sites and preserves global magnification. No build or merge was performed in this handoff. |

…icons The sidebar footer icons (Sign In, Help, phone) and the signed-in account avatar came back after #12126 but disappeared again after a while on Intel Macs running macOS 15. #12126 still let SwiftUI own pixels: the symbols were drawn as a SwiftUI `.foreground` fill masked by the hosted AppKit view, and the avatar's hosted image view sat under a SwiftUI `clipShape`. Both paint at first and go blank later on these machines. The Vault icons (#10764) never did, because they take the other path: `CmuxResolvedIconImage` with the tint baked into the bitmap by the shared renderer and a fallback source, with no SwiftUI mask or clip anywhere near the hosted view. This puts every `CmuxSystemSymbolImage` and the avatar on that same path. - `CmuxSystemSymbolImage` takes an explicit `tint: Color`, bridged to a dynamic `NSColor` and baked into the hosted bitmap (like `SessionIndexResolvedSystemSymbolImage`), with a same-symbol fallback source. Equal colors bridge to equal `NSColor`s, so the hosted view's render key stays stable. Every call site passes the color it used to inherit from `.foregroundStyle` / `.foregroundColor`; the header, titlebar and pill button styles now apply their hover/pressed dimming as view opacity so the label color they set is a plain color the symbol can bake. - `StackAccountAvatarImageLoader` clips the center-cropped picture to a circle inside the bitmap, and `StackAccountAvatarView` draws it through `CmuxResolvedIconImage` with a tinted person-symbol fallback (mirroring `SessionIndexAgentIconImage`) and no `clipShape` around the hosted view. `.colorScheme` subtree overrides still reach the hosted view: SwiftUI sets the matching `NSAppearance` on hosted platform views, so the dynamic tints resolve correctly inside themed chrome. Fixes #4476.
This is a clean replacement for PR #4480. The original branch had drifted 6,687 commits behind current main and carried unrelated CI-watchdog history; this branch starts at current main and contains only the two icon regression/fix commits.
Root cause
The remaining Vault/workspace/sidebar SF Symbol call sites still entered SwiftUI as lazy template providers. On macOS 15, especially Intel, the first materialization can occur before the effective appearance is resolved, producing a blank icon layer while text remains. Sidebar re-show and Light/Dark toggles accidentally retriggered that lifecycle.
Fix
Verification
The old PR #4480 should be superseded by this PR; no merge is requested here.
