In the narrow comment margin, a new inline comment's composer lives in a popover next to its minimized badge. When you click outside the composer, the popover closes right away. The draft thread and its highlight only went away later, when the editor's selection change cleared the active thread. That left one painted frame showing the yellow highlight and a "1" comment badge. Now the popover's close handler clears the active thread for a draft, so the draft is removed in the same tick the popover closes.

Low Risk
Narrow UX fix in comment popover close handling with targeted tests; no auth, data, or API changes.
Overview
Fixes a one-frame flash when dismissing a new inline comment composer in the minimized margin popover by clicking outside.
The popover
onOpenChangehandler now callssetActiveThread(null)when the popover closes, the comment is still a draft (isNew), and that thread is already active—so the draft highlight and badge disappear in the same tick as the popover, instead of waiting for the editor selection to clear. If the same outside press only activated the thread (isActivefalse), active thread is left unchanged.Tests cover both cases: outside dismiss clears the active draft thread, and does not clear when the thread was not active.
